“This little brat took advantage of my ace and teamed up with others to beat my daughter!”
As soon as I finished, Rachel piped up, panicked:
“That’s impossible. Leo is a good boy! Samuel, you have to believe me!”
I stepped closer: “Impossible? Then why do you think an ambulance just showed up?!”
Once again, Samuel stood protectively in front of Rachel and Leo.
“Kids don’t mean any harm. It’s normal for them to roughhouse. You’re making a big deal out of nothing, and now you’re hitting people. You’re acting like a total shrew!”
Seeing my aggressive stance, Samuel shoved me to the ground.
My palms scraped against the floor, drawing blood.
Those who had been fawning over Samuel looked down at me, sneering and mocking:
“Is she trying to scam money? She knows Mr. Brown is wealthy and is here to extort him!”
“She doesn’t know her place. Just wait until Flying Group’s legal team deals with her. She’ll be crying soon enough.”
“I bet she tried to seduce Mr. Brown before and f
u, and now she’s making a scene. Can’t she see how far below Mrs. Brown she is?”
“Typical mistress behavior!”
Just then, the sound of engines roared as three luxury cars pulled up in front of the elementary school.
Sharp–eyed parents gasped:
“Those cars have the Flying Group logo. They’re for executives!”
Someone added, trying to flatter:
“Mr. Brown is so powerful. He’s already called in the legal team!”
As they spoke, one parent spat at me, a malicious grin on their face:
“You’re done for, homewrecker. Everyone knows Flying’s legal team is unbeaten in Deerfield. Get ready to pay up and go to jail!”
Some parents, social media influencers, were already excited, holding up their phones:

“I didn’t expect to stumble upon big news today. Followers, hit that follow button! I’m going to livestream the downfall of this shrew!”
Rachel beamed at Samuel, while Leo beside her looked even more arrogant.
Samuel, soaking up the attention, looked down at me in disbelief.
I pushed myself off the ground, slowly standing through the pain, a cold smile on my lips.
The elementary school principal rushed over, frowning as he scolded me:
“Lily’s mom, stop being stubborn. Apologize to Mr. and Mrs. Brown. You can’t win against them!”
I shook my head at the principal. He sighed:
“I know you wouldn’t lie, but reality is what it is. Those century–old corporations hold immense power. How could you provoke them?”
