Chapter 2
I stood up, feeling a sense of liberation throughout my body as I tore the admission letter into pieces. I was determined to forge a new path, one that didn’t involve Dylan, Marcus, or Amy.
I walked over to my desk and picked up the secret application form for the Golden Wolves University, a prestigious institution that was known for its strong powerhold in the kingdom. Only a few knew the secret of this university. Actually, the university was not run by werewolves, but Lycans. They gave admission to only a few extraordinary werewolves to their university and then they would be one of the Lycans, unshakable and unreachable by the other werewolves. I had always been interested in this mysterious institution and had worked my ass off to get admission in it only to reject their admission letter in the end just because my mates were going to the Lunar Alpha’s Academy. In my previous life, I had put my dreams on hold to pursue a relationship with Dylan and Marcus.
Not this time. This time, I was going to prioritize my own goals and aspirations. I was going to build a life that was mine alone, free from the manipulation and betrayal of others.
As I filled out the application form, I felt a sense of excitement and anticipation. I was taking control of my life, and I was determined to make the
most of it.
When I finished the application, I sealed it in an envelope and put it in my pocket to post it to their head office. I felt a sense of satisfaction as I checked all the documents I needed to send along with my admission letter. I only needed to receive the Character certificate from the college I passed out. I was heading towards the dean’s office when I received the same texts from Dylan and Marcus. They were urging me to meet them outside as they had a surprise for me.
I already knew what surprise they were to give me, thanks to the sufferings of my previous life, and I was not interested in it at all. So, I ignored their text and continued walking towards the head office to collect my character certificate.
As I walked down the hallway, I felt like I was navigating a gauntlet of gossiping students. Whispered insults and snickers followed me, making my skin crawl. One student, taking advantage of the crowd around me, shoved me from behind, sending me stumbling down the stairs. My books and papers

scattered everywhere, and I landed hard on my knee. I winced in pain, but my anger quickly took over. “Watch where you’re going, jerk!” I snapped, glowering at the culprit. But the student just smirked and disappeared into the crowd, leaving me to gather my belongings amidst the sea of hostile faces. As I walked, I watched everyone staring at me with disgust and ridicule in their eyes, as if I had done something gross or got some untouchable disease.
I understood the cause of their hatred towards me when I overheard a familiar voice, whispering something to my batchmates, because of my extraordinary hearing capabilities. When I turned the corner, I just heard Amy chatting with my two batchmates who belonged to my pack as well.
“I did see Bella getting off the car of the directors of Lunar University in the middle of the night, but this doesn’t mean anything. Maybe Bella really got into Lunar University based on her own skills.” Amy spoke in a low tone.
“Amy, don’t speak for her. She doesn’t even dare to reveal her skills. She is the Alpha of our pack, yet we haven’t seen her shifting for once. Her wolf must be small and petty, that’s why she dares not show her to us. She must sell herself off to the directors just to appear powerful in front of us.”
“Yes, Amy, you are always deceived by her because you are too kind. A woman with such a scheming mind like her can do anything.”
I had researched the Golden Wolves University a lot and I knew they were always interested in mysterious wolves, that was why I never revealed my skills in public, not even Dylan and Marcus were aware of the power I possessed even though I had always been mocked and bullied for being a lowly and powerless Alpha. Unexpectedly, this became an excuse for Amy to frame and spread rumors about me. And my two pack members, they knew how hard I studied to control my powers for my grandmother. I remember how many pack members I had hurt when I first shifted into my wolf. These two pack members were also in them and had seen the size of my wolf was huge, yet they believed that I needed dirty tricks to get admitted to the university I ranked top.
I smiled bitterly and comforted myself that it didn’t matter. After I officially enter the desired university, all my identity information would be hidden. By then, I could completely cut off my relationship with them. No need to listen to these hurtful words. No need to live foolishly in lies and deception, and end up with a miserable death. I pretended not to hear anything and walked in front of the three people. I received my character certificate and then went to see my
two mates.
