Chapter 16
Amber was doing this on purpose.
She knew full well that my leg hadn’t fully healed, yet she
proposed a live competition to get ahead of the narrative.

Even if I simply stated the facts, no one would believe me at this
point.
And if I declined, she’d twist the story further, framing it as petty
revenge.
Amber had calculated everything–except the fact that I had
undeniable video evidence.
I had already written a post and was just a click away from
exposing the truth.
One tap, and everything would be laid bare.
But as my finger hovered over the button, I hesitated.
Amber and her name deserved to be nailed to the wall of
disgrace, permanently.
Not like some seasonal pest, buzzing around and fading from
relevance.
Icanceled the post and typed three simple words instead Clara:
Chapter 16
The Choreographer’s Canvas became the most talked–about show, thanks to our upcoming showdown.

The producers reached out to me to discuss contract details and
stage design.
The director was professional and accommodating, and over the course of a few meetings, we got along well.
He even volunteered to take charge of my stage design,
promising, “Leave everything to me. I guarantee you’ll be thrilled
with the results!”
After some thought, I shared my entire vision with him.
But the day before the live broadcast, Amber posted a series of photos showcasing the completed stage on her social media.
It was unmistakably my design.
Amber had the audacity to caption the post… Amber: [This is my
battle.]
The comments section was flooded with unanimous praise.
[Wow, this is amazing! The best stage design I’ve ever seen in the
country.]
[The level of detail is insane. The white rose in the center? Chef’s
kiss.]
[Amber may have a rocky love life. but her professional skills are
Chapter 16
Since all stage concepts on the Choreographer’s Canvas were attributed to the performers, everyone assumed Amber was behind the design.

She didn’t deny it either. Instead, she tagged several high–profile stage designers and even an internationally renowned dance troupe on Space X. She finished off her post with a “candid” rehearsal photo.
In the picture, a crowd of staff surrounded Amber and Ethan, who
stood front and center.
Their cheeks were pressed together as they gazed lovingly at the
camera.
Amber and Ethan’s fans were ecstatic, flooding the comments
with declarations.
[This must’ve cost Mr. Ward a fortune, right?]
Ethan responded with a casual smiling emoji. Ethan: [When it’s for
the woman I love, it’s worth every penny.]
That was all it took to unleash a wave of messages in my inbox.
[Did you catch that? Mr. Ward only spends his money on Amber.
Don’t even dream of getting a dime!]
[Face it you’re not the one he loves. Just bow out gracefully, will you?]

[You homewrecker, stop trying to ruin our queen’s happiness. Do
the world a favor for once.]
Unable to bear the growing vitriol, I disabled my private
messages.
Still fuming, I called the show’s director. “Why did you give Amber Vaughn my stage design?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. Ms. Vaughn’s stage was entirely prepared by her team,” he replied smoothly.
“I sympathize with your personal struggles, Ms. Bennett, but emotions don’t justify baseless accusations. If you persist, we’ll
take legal action.”
I laughed coldly and hung up.
“Not long after, an unknown number texted me.
[Give up. You’re fighting a losing battle.]”
I didn’t bother replying. I simply blocked the number.
