Ellie thought. What is love really like? Perhaps it’s being deeply drawn to someone even after seeing his worst side, always thinking about whether he’s hungry, sick, hurt, or feeling down

As the elevator slowly descended, Ellie fought back fiercely, using both hands and feet against Alex. When her hands got sore, she bat.
“Stop moving!” Alex suddenly crouched down and lifted Ellie with ease.
Ellie’s head spun as Alex carried her upside down, her legs trapped in his arms. No matter how much she struggled, she couldn’t muster any strength. Even if she tried to bite, she couldn’t find a place to do so,
“Put me down! You’re crazy!” she yelled
Ellie cursed and struggled to the first floor. Alex carried her out of the elevator and through the entire neighborhood, Barry stood by the car, watching Alex carry someone out. He quickly opened the back door.

Sweat formed on Ellie’s body, and her hair, drenched in sweat, stuck to her forehead. She kept taking deep breaths, trying to steady herself. Ellie tried to pull at the handle a few times, only to find that the door was locked. She reached into her pocket and then realized her phone was missing. Turning back to Alex, she found him staring at her with a dark expression

The backseat of the Bentley, with its luxury seats, was divided by a central console. They locked eyes across the gap. Ellie could feel Alex’s dangerous gaze fixed on her, but he said nothing and an unexplainable sense of unease crept into her chest.
It was late at night, and he had comered her at the elevator entrance and forcibly shoved her into his car. She knew that he definitely wasn’t going to just sit there and stare at her without saying a word.
