It was Carlos who had brought her into the Warren family and raised her. Now that Carlos was critically ill, she couldn’t just ignore it. She had to be there for Carlos in his final moments.

The car drove from the Thompson residence back to the Warren Manor.
Alex carried Ellie’s suitcase and followed behind her.
“Todd, Nancy, I’ll go see Carlos first, Ellie said as soon as she entered, heading straight for Carlos’s room.
“I’ll go with you. Alex picked up Ellie’s suitcase. Evan offered to help carry it upstairs, but Alex declined.
