Alex tightened his grip, with his eyes landing on the small medical box in Ellie’s hand. “What’s in the box?” he asked.
“Acupuncture needles. Ellie replied. Then, she wrenched herself free and made a quick escape.
“I’ve been waiting for you all day. How could you avoid me like I’m a plague?” Alex said.
Just after Ellie took a few steps away, she was tightly grabbed by Alex from behind. The more she struggled, the firmer his grip became.
“I called you a thousand times today, but you didn’t pick up once You’re so heartless, he accused.
“Come to my room. I need to talk to you,” Alex added, his voice dripping with suggestive intent, which made Ellie feel her face heating up and her heart racing.
Trying to shrink away from his lips, Ellie said, “Can you let me go and talk?”

“Really not coming? Alex lowered his head, resting his chin in the crook of Ellie’s neck to inhale her scent.
Ellie’s body tensed up because Alex flirted. “No,” she said firmly.
Before Ellie could finish, Alex swept her off her feet, carrying her toward the master bedroom.
“Alex, your leg is still injured. Put me down,” Ellie screamed, clinging desperately to the stair railing in horror.
After she came back to the Warren Manor, she noticed that Alex was acting even more flirtatiously toward her, and his gaze seemed almost feverish.
In a panic, Ellie opened the small box in her hand, took out a needle, and stabbed it into one of the acupuncture points on Alex’s body.
The next second, they both tumbled onto the floor in the hallway.
Before Ellie could get up, she watched in horror as Alex rolled down the stairs without any sign of struggle.
“Alex!” Ellie shouted, following Alex down the stairs in a panic.
“Alex” She found Alex lying on the floor with his face bruised, h eyes wide open, his mouth twisted, one hand splayed outward and the other clutching the ground. She was completely stunned.

Late at night, the entire family gathered around Alex’s hospital bed at Jaslands Hospital, struggling to hold down Alex who was howling.

After a long exhausting night, Ellie returned to the Warren Manor to take care of Carlos, while Nancy, Evan, and Barry stayed at the hospital to look after Alex.
At noon, Ellie had just woken up from a nap when she heard the Familiar howling from downstairs.
At the top of the stairs, Barry was carrying Alex up, and Ellie quickly stepped aside.
Evan said, “Ms. Thompson, please talk some sense into Mr. Warren. He refused to stay in the hospital, howled himself hoarse, and insisted on coming home.”

Ellie hesitated but nodded.
She was the one who had accidentally caused his stroke–like symptoms, and the Warren family didn’t blame her. It was only fair that she took care of him.

“Mr. Warren your face isn’t twisted anymore. That’s great.” Evan was overjoyed to see Alex’s condition improving. “Ms. Thompson was picked up by her brother and said she would be back later.
Alex’s face darkened as he turned and hopped back to his room.
Thinking about how Ellie always mentioned “Aaron said“, Alex was so annoyed. He said to himself, “Aaron is so good at brainwashing. He should have been an insurance salesman instead of a prosecutor.”
Then, Alex took a nap for a few hours.
“Mr. Warren, Ms. Thompson is back, and Mr. Aaron Thompson here too, Evan said.
