A few days later, Ellie helped Joanna take a walk in the garden. It had been a week since Ellie returned from Yorksure, and Joanna’s health had improved a lot. Now Joanna could get out of bed and walk around.

Ellie supported Joanna and watched Aaron leave in a hurry. She felt that something was wrong.
Joanna frowned, “Ellie, is Aaron in some kind of trouble?”
Hearing Joanna’s concern, Ellie quickly came back to her senses. “Mom, let me help you back to your room. I’ll go and ask him.” Ellie helped Joanna back to the room and then went upstairs to find Aaron.
By the time Aaron took a shower and changed his clothes and came out, they hadn’t said a few words when Aaron went out again. Aaron came and went in a hurry, and Ellie was completely puzzled.
After noon, Ellie went to the Warren Manor to visit Carlos,
On her way to the Warren Manor, Ellie called Nancy and learned that a few days ago, Carlos went out to take care of the orchids when it suddenly rained heavily.

Barry turned around and sighed.
“It’s okay as long as you’re fine. Ellie was in a hurry to see Carlos and pulled Alex and walked.
Caught off guard by Ellie’s pull, Alex took a big step and groaned in pain. He instinctively supported himself against the corridor wall.
Barry was so scared that he quickly came forward to help, but was stopped by Alex’s look.
“Alex, what’s wrong with you?” Ellie turned around and saw Alex standing there with one hand supporting the wall and sweat breaking out on his forehead.
Alex said, “Grandpa hasn’t woken up yet. My parents are taking care of him. I didn’t tell you because I wanted you stay at home and take care of Mrs. Thompson.”
Alex held Ellie’s hand and took deep breaths continuously to relieve the pain coming from his knees. He lowered his eyes to hide his emotions and prevent Ellie from seeing his true thoughts.
Barry watched behind as Alex led Ellie into Carlos’s hospital room. He was so worried that his hands were raised in the air. He was afraid that Alex would collapse out of sudden.
Alex went into the ward with Ellie and chatted with his parents for a while. Then he took Ellie out of the ward. After several days of separation, at the end of the empty corridor, Alex couldn’t wait to hold Ellie tightly.
“Grandpa got caught in the rain and now his fever won’t go down. The doctor said we should make preparations in advance.” Alex buried his head in the crook of Ellie’s neck, and his voice was muilled.
Joanna quietly forced Alex to agree not to marry Ellie for three years. She just wanted to give Ellie some time to regain her
memory.
Alex had to keep the three–year agreement. Now Carlos suddenly fell critically ill. If Carlos passed away, Alex wouldn’t have any reason to keep Ellie at the Warren Manor anymore,
Every time Alex thought about these things in the past few days, his heart felt as if it was being tightly squeezed by something, making it difficult for him to breathe.
