The day after Zachary left, I also embarked on a new journey.
I returned to Chicago where I grew up.

My new deskmate was a very cute girl.
With her company, I happily spent the last semester of high school.
The day I got accepted into my dream university, I bought the flowers my dad used to buy for my birthday every year when he was alive.
I went to the cemetery.
Holding a beer, I made a toasting gesture in the air.

Saying goodbye to everything in the past, living as a brand new self.
Living under the sunshine with a warm and genuine smile.
After graduating from university, I went abroad to pursue a master’s degree.
During the two years of studying abroad, I met many interesting people.
And made warm and wonderful friends.
On graduation day, my advisor asked if I wanted to stay and continue researching drugs at the local research institute.
