When I saw him, I ran away like flying.
But as I ran to my door and opened it, urgently trying to close it, Zachary’s hand squeezed
in, and then his whole body squeezed in.
Looking at the man sitting on my sofa, I frowned.
“As a guest, can I get a glass of water?”
Zachary leaned back on the sofa naturally, as if he were in his own home.
“I don’t have water at home. If you want to drink, go back to your place.”
I sat on the sofa opposite him, staring at him.
“Then forget it, my home is too far away.”
Zachary put his hands on his knees and smiled at me.
“What do you want?”
Zachary’s appearance inevitably made me recall everything from before.
It seemed to pull me back into that unbearable time.
Zachary looked at me under the warm light of the room:
“Lily, I’m now in charge of the Goodwin Corporation. I can make decisions about everything in the Goodwin family.”
“So what, are you planning a belated revenge?”
I stared at him without speaking.
Zachary was silent for a while before saying softly:
“What I want to say is, you can continue to rely on me. I can give you more now.”

“I don’t need it. All I need is for you to stop disturbing my life. Get out.”
Zachary hugged the pillow, curling his lips:
“So you have quite a temper now. That’s good.”
Before I could get angry, Zachary spoke first:
“Let me stay just for one night. I’ll leave tomorrow.”
“Lily, let me look at you a bit more. I can sleep on the sofa.””
Zachary’s eyes held a sorrowful look as he gazed at me.
I said coldly:
“If I say no, will you leave?”
“No.”
