I didn’t know what Nill and Dante talked about, but I didn’t see Dante for a long time after that.
During this time, I threw myself entirely into work, spending almost every day talking to or meeting with Nill.
The frequency of our meetings gradually reduced the awkward atmosphere between us, and sometimes we could chat like normal friends.
“Nill, what did you say to Dante that night? He hasn’t shown up in a while.”
Nill gave me a sidelong glance and took out his phone, flipping through several photos. They were all pictures of Ariya and Dante

“After he realized you wouldn’t forgive him, he decisively threw himself into Ariya’s
arms.”
I absentmindedly scrolled through the photos, and to my surprise, ! saw a photo of myself from my university days.
“What’s this? How do you have my photo?”
“This angle looks like it was taken secretly.”
Nill froze for a moment, then snatched the phone away. “You’re mistaken!”
I blinked and said meaningfully, “Since it’s a mistake, forget about it. I was going to ask if you’d want to date me, but I guess I was overthinking it.”

Nill pulled out the photo again and showed it
to me.
“You didn’t make a mistake. I took it secretly.”
“When I visited your university to give a lecture, I saw you and took a picture…”
He looked at me, and the affection in his eyes was no longer hidden.
Everything was unspoken.
“But I’ve been married to Dante… this is not okay, right?”
Nill’s expression became serious, and he sat a little closer to me.

made a major mistake as an adult, he was kicked out of the family. I only helped him because of my late brother and sister–in–law.”
I nodded and took his hand. “A one–month trial period. Whether you can stay depends on how you perform.”
Nill nodded enthusiastically.
“Now that we’ve finished work, how about we
go have European cuisine?”
Nill had been taking me out to eat for a long time, introducing me to different great restaurants. Today was no different.
“Found a good place, I’ll take you.”
But just as we were walking out of the company, someone suddenly dropped to their knees in front of me.

“Selina, please go look for Dante! He’s been missing for three days! I can’t find him!”
Ariya, with bloodshot eyes, repeatedly bowed to me, begging me to find Dante.
I frowned and quickly stepped back.
“Ariya, get up first. Tell me, what happened to Dante?”
Ariya looked worn out, her entire body caught in a state of panic.
“Dante insisted on going diving, and I couldn’t stop him, so I went with him.”
“But he disappeared just like last time, and I’ve been searching for him for three days but can’t find him! I’ve used up all my money -please, help me find him!”

I pursed my lips. “Ariya, have you considered that maybe this disappearance is another one of his lies?”
She shook her head repeatedly, her tone firm. “No, Dante would never lie to me!”
I sighed, released Nill’s hand, and said to him, “I’ve been there several times already, I’ll go with Ariya to search for him.”
Nill’s gaze turned dangerous, and he stared at me. “You still can’t let him go?”
“How could I?”
I leaned into his ear and whispered, “I’m sure he’s faking it again. If you have time, you can come with me.”
“I’ll go with you.”
