Time ticked by, and more luxury cars gathered at the hotel’s entrance.
Onlookers took out their phones to snap pictures, even the hotel staff were captivated by the scene.
“Wow, is someone important coming today? There are so many luxury cars.”
“It’s not just the cars, even the people in them are major figures in New York City.”
“This class reunion is something else, attracting so many wealthy people.”
I ignored the chatter, and Declan remained silent, knowing someone was in for a rough night.
One by one, prominent figures stepped out of their cars and headed straight to the private booth.
Adeline stood behind, nodding and bowing, looking somewhat ridiculous.
A middle–aged man named Uncle Felix gave me a sidelong glance, raising an eyebrow.
“You’re the one who upset Adeline? Didn’t you say finding someone in New York wouldn’t help?”
He spoke with disdain and surprise, but mainly provocation.
“That’s right, it’s me.”

Uncle Felix didn’t expect me to be so defiant, his face darkened instantly.
“Well, young man, you’ve got some guts!”
Then he looked at Declan behind me and snorted.
“Your courage must come from him, right?”
“He’s Senior Advisor Beckett’s son, Declan, isn’t that right?”
Him revealing Declan’s identity surprised me but not much else.
“His identity has nothing to do with me, and today’s matter isn’t related to him.”
My attitude irked the rich heirs.
They must be wondering how a young guy could put on more airs than them.
They were itching to rush over and put me in my place.
But I enjoy teasing these types. The angrier they get, the more I want to test their limits.
“Hey, you must all be Adeline’s backup, right?”
“With your colorful hair and earrings, can you even be called men?”
“To deal with the likes of you, one hand is enough. Don’t believe me? Try it.”
Sure enough, as soon as I said it, the spoiled brats couldn’t hold back and rushed at me.
I didn’t dodge, just slapped a few backhands.
Except for Uncle Felix, the rest now had my handprints on their faces.
They didn’t even touch my clothes.
“Who are you?”
Uncle Felix’s face was ashen as he glared at me.
I picked up a wet wipe, wiped my hands, and said leisurely.
“You’ll find out soon enough.”
“Look!”
Someone shouted from the crowd.
Everyone turned to see a fleet of red–plated trucks roaring towards the hotel.
Adeline turned around, disbelief written all over her face.
“Are you part of the cabinet?!”
I wagged my finger.
“You’re half right, but not entirely.”
Declan, who had been silent, suddenly spoke up.
“Miss Fiona is a personal guard to a cabinet leader, not bound by any organization.”
What?!

Declan’s words were like a bombshell, shocking the entire booth.
“So Fiona has such a background, why didn’t she say anything before?”
“Yeah, if I had such an identity, I’d walk with confidence across all of China.”
“Oh no, we were just siding with Adeline…”
Not just classmates, even those brought to support Adeline started panicking.
Everyone took out their phones to call home for help.
As the main character, Adeline slumped to the floor, muttering to herself.
Only the slightly older Uncle Felix could barely stand, his voice trembling.
“Miss… Miss Fiona, this is a misunderstanding.”
I smiled back.
“Oh? Uncle Felix thinks this is a misunderstanding?”
He quickly nodded.
“Yes, a misunderstanding, definitely. I don’t even know Adeline.”
He then rushed over and slapped Adeline several times.
Adeline didn’t react in time; blood was already trickling from her mouth. She looked up in confusion.
“Uncle Felix, what are you doing?”
Hearing her call him that, he kicked her.
“Don’t call me that, I don’t know you!”
As the armed police entered the room, everyone except Declan and me was drenched in sweat.
At this point, Logan kneeled before me.
His eyes were still wet with tears.
“Wife, I was wrong. Give me another chance, let’s start over.”
I turned and shook my head.
“Don’t call me wife; we’re already divorced.”
“Remember the call I made earlier? The Senior Advisor approved my request.”
“From now on, we’re done.”
