Chapter 3
The father and son did not return home all night.
When Camila opened the bedroom door, she only saw an empty living room.
The phone in her hand suddenly vibrated, and she opened it to see Richard’s text message popping up.
“Goodbye, there’s a meeting at the company, I’m leaving first. I’ll also drop off our son at the kindergarten. Remember to have
breakfast on the table.”
She didn’t expose his poor acting skills, replied with a “hmm,” and then left the house directly
She didn’t have time to continue acting with them, she had her own things to do.
Camila went directly to the crematorium and made a reservation for a cremation slot.
The staff registered relevant information on the computer while asking her who the deceased person was
Camila faintly replied, “I did it myself.”
The staff’s hands paused on the keyboard, and they looked at her with pity.
Such a young person, it’s such a pity. Did they have a terminal illness?
Ignoring their sympathetic looks, Camila continued, “Please, on October 22nd, come directly to Coast Villa No.9 and have my body
cremated.”
The staff looked at her in shock, wondering how she knew her own time of death so clearly.
“How should we handle the ashes afterwards, by calling your family or?”
Camila shook her head, “No need, I will add some more money, and you can just scatter my ashes after cremation.
After departing from the world, her soul would detach, and her physical body would die in this world
But she wanted to completely disappear, so that this father and son would not even have a place to mourn her.
After paying, Camila walked out with her phone.
I saw three people sitting not far away at a glance.
Her husband was holding Nataly in his arms, comforting her softly.
Her son also thoughtfully handed her a handkerchief to wipe Nataly’s tears.
The three people were as warm and close as a family.
If she didn’t speak
“What were you doing?”
The father and son were suddenly taken aback when they saw Camila.
One hastily released Nataly from his arms, while the other stood as straight as his father, instantly creating distance between himself and Nataly
Camila walked over and looked at Richard, “Weren’t you going to work?”
After saying that, he lowered his head and looked at his son beside him, “Didn’t you go to kindergarten?”
Richard walked quickly towards her, his voice tinged with a hint of panic, “Camila, please don’t misunderstand.”
“On the way to drop off my child at the kindergarten, I saw her crying uncontrollably on the roadside. I casually asked a few questions and only then did I find out that her closest relative had passed away. As a young girl, she didn’t know how to handle it. That’s why I brought her to the crematorium and just comforted her.”
Upon hearing this, Willie also walked over and tugged at her clothes, pitifully explaining. “Yes, Mom, Dad sent her here because he felt sorry for Nataly Mom, please don’t be angry, okay?”
Seeing this scene, Nataly also held back her tears and timidly glanced at Camila, biting her lip to apologize.
“Mrs. Middleton, it was all my fault. I hindered your work and your son’s studies.”
“My closest relative passed away, and I was in immense pain. They were just trying to comfort me, please don’t be angry.”
There was nothing wrong with these words, but the moment her words fell, a staff member walked up to Nataly with a small urn in their arms.
“Ms. Frey, your pet dog’s ashes have been prepared.”
ווד.
Camila glanced and said, “Is this what you call your loved ones?
Nataly tightened her fingers around the urn, her face becoming stiff with sorrow.
When she opened her mouth to say something, Richard spoke up and caught her words.
“Camila, this dog has been with Nataly for over ten years, just like a family member.”
Camila glanced at him deeply and didn’t say anything more.
After burying the urn in the cemetery, the four of them got into the car and went to a restaurant for a meal.
Halfway through the drive, Richard suddenly looked at his wife as if he had just remembered something
“Camila, why did you suddenly come to the crematorium today?”
Camila smirked sarcastically in her mind.
It has been so long, and now you just remembered to ask?
She glanced at Nataly sitting in the front row and calmly spoke,
“My friend’s dog also died, she cried uncontrollably, and I had to cry for her.”
