My mother asked me whom to marry. This time, I did not choose Martin Gibson again.
I chose his uncle Alexander Gibson instead.
My mother looked puzzled. After all, everyone in Newwald knew that Martin and I had been childhood sweethearts. I had been chasing after him for ten years, and I had long declared that I would only marry him in this lifetime.
