Chapter 16
Joyce heard the name Zander again and immediately felt a bit confused.
“But from his appearance, it can be seen that he didn’t treat you well, I never told him.”
After having dinner with the principal, she returned to the Floyd family’s mansion.
As they were temporarily returning to their home country, Philip and Audrey directly took her back
to their residence.
After a thorough discussion about next week’s book signing event, Joyce returned to her room to
rest.
Inside the Norton Group building, Zander stared at the photo on the table for a while.
It had been a full two years, yet he still had not found any trace of Joyce.
He gazed at the youthful her in the wedding photo, and couldn’t help but smile with a touch of
bitterness.
This photo was the only group picture they took in the past three years.
He deeply understands the value of something only after losing it.
At first, he thought it was just a matter of getting used to her not being around, but after seeing the
repayment agreement and subsequent events, he realized that that habit had long turned into deep
love.
However, because of Elianna, he chose to keep this love hidden.
Now, he wanted to confront this love, but Joyce was no longer there.
At this moment, the office door was gently knocked by someone, and the assistant said to him.
“Mr. Norton, there will be a new book signing event in the city center tomorrow, and you are cordially invited to attend.”
It was not until after the divorce that Zander suddenly realized how superficial his understanding of Joyce had been.
Joyce came back from her sketching session, mistakenly thinking that she had developed a strong interest in writing.
Later on, it was discovered that she had always had a great passion for literature since she was young. If it weren’t for giving up the opportunity to study for him, perhaps she would have already become very famous in the literary world by now.
erhaps in order to explore her world and get closer to her, he would always attend any local book signing event held in the area.

The people accompanying her had already given Joyce the guest list for the book signing event, so that she could prepare.
When she saw the three words “Zander,” she instantly became a little absent–minded.
Seeing this, the classmate quickly said, “If you don’t want to see him, you can choose not to participate in the interview.”
She smiled faintly and said, “It’s nothing.”
Since the day she came back, she knew deep down that there would be a reunion between the two of
them, after all, one can escape today but not tomorrow.
Moreover, she had already repaid their family’s debts, and now they were nothing but strangers to
each other.
On the day of the book signing event, a continuous stream of audience members entered the hall following the signs, and Zander was one of them.
Over the years, he attended numerous book signings and had gained a certain understanding of the
popular works of the time.
Until the appearance of this work.
There is no extra narration, only the sincere expression of the author.
The name of this work, “Distant Wilderness,” was written on the cover of the book.
He thought of Joyce.
Married for three years, Joyce revolved around him constantly, always waiting for him at home.
She seemed to have lost herself, unable to feel the taste of freedom at all.
Those things that should have been easily within her reach became distant dreams.
Just as he was lost in thought, a voice drifted into his ears.
He looked in the direction of the sound and immediately saw the person he had been thinking about
day and night.
In an instant, his world seemed to freeze, with only her in his heart and eyes.
She was wearing an elegant long dress, with her long hair flowing down her back, and she was introducing her works to the crowd with a bright smile.
“Joyce!”
