The incident that day seemed to have vaccinated Mateo, and he became even more cautious in the following days, constantly watching our every move, afraid of another accident happening.
Until the day the trip ended, there were no more incidents in the group.
When I was parting ways with the others, Mateo suddenly called out to me.
“In the future, if you want to join a group, you can directly approach me, and I can offer you a discount.”
I didn’t expect Mateo to appear aloof and difficult to approach, but he would actively add others on WhatsApp for money in private.

like to invite you for a meal.”

“Alright then, give me your address and I’ll come find you.”
Mateo’s eyes flickered with a hint of excitement, and he nodded before leaving.
As soon as Mateo left, Darnell blocked my way.
“Who was that man just now? Why did you agree to have dinner with him?”
I thought Darnell would leave after that day, but I didn’t expect him to stay here, waiting for me to
come back.
When Mateo saw me talking, he instantly became possessive and rushed over to coldly interrogato

“How is it not related to me? We haven’t divorced yet, I don’t allow you to have contact with other
men.”
Darnell yelled at me for the first time, his eyes glaring at me with a bloodshot look, as if he was
about to swallow me whole in the next second.
I was startled by him and instinctively took a step back.
Bealizing his outburst, Darnell quickly composed himself and guiltily said, “I’m sorry, I was just too excited earlier, but I really can’t accept you being in contact with new men.”

He said as he handed me another report, “This is an assessment from the most authoritative
} institution, confirming that your uterus did indeed undergo cancerous changes. I truly did not
deceive you before; it was because of the cancer that it had to be removed. As for Nadia’s child, I wanted her to give birth to compensate for your inability to conceive.”
I glanced at the report and indeed, there was the seal of an authoritative institution on it. No one
could fake it.
However, this result surprised me. I didn’t expect that my uterus had developed cancer. Darnell
didn’t deceive me.
“Kyra, you were the person I loved the most, and I couldn’t hurt you,” Darnell continued to express his deep affection. “As for Nadia, it was just an accident. I have completely cut ties with her, and she won’t interfere in our lives anymore. Will you come back, please? I really can’t be without you.”
He tried to hold my hand as he spoke, but I quickly shook him off and created distance between us.
“You should have heard that once unfaithful, forever unforgiven. Since you betrayed me, I will
never forgive you. If you want to sign the divorce agreement, go ahead, and if you don’t want to, then don’t. Just don’t disturb me anymore.”
Darnell shook his head as if he couldn’t understand a word.
“No, I don’t want to separate from you. We have been together for so many years. Are you willing to let go of all those beautiful memories?”
“You said you would only love me in this lifetime, why did you leave me?”
Watching Darnell’s injured appearance, I remained calm and called the police to take him away.
Afterward, I messaged Nadia again, asking her to take care of Darnell.
After that, Darnell did not show up anymore.
During this period, Mateo had been intentionally or unintentionally meeting me. Although he was mysterious, I still understood his intentions. I directly clarified that I had just ended a relationship
that lasted for more than ten years and did not want to enter into another one.
However, Mateo did not get discouraged and said he could afford to wait because he had already waited for ten years.
I just realized that I had met Mateo before. At that time, I had recently started working and earned
some money, so I enrolled in a skiing class.
Mateo and I met back then. At that time, Mateo went to the ski resort to relieve the stress from his family business. Little did he know, he fell and injured his leg because he was in a hurry. However, the place where he fell was unattended, and no one noticed that he had an accident.

It was two years later when I heard Darnell’s news again. I heard that Nadia personally came to
redeem him after he was arrested by the police that day.
Afterward, the two of them had a big argument because of this incident. In a fit of anger, Darnell pushed Nadia, and as a result of this push, Nadia had a miscarriage.
After losing both love and her child, Nadia couldn’t accept it and went insane. She drove and turned Darnell into a vegetable by hitting him.
Afterward, Nadia was also sent to a mental hospital, where she spent half of her life.
After listening to the experiences of the two individuals, there was no ripple in my heart, because, to me, these people were just passing through my life, leaving a mark but unable to stay with me.
