- Chapter 5

He ate without even lifting his head, his cheeks puffed up, and mumbled, “Helen, you are so
skilled.”
I took a glance at this boy named Neil Townsend, who was clearly much younger than me, but he never called me sister. Ever since he found out my name, he kept saying, Helen,
During the meal, I learned that he had started his own business by himself. At the moment, it was the busiest time and the company was short–staffed. He had to do the work of three people alone, which is why he was too busy to eat.
“You don’t know, I had been eating instant noodles for a week, it had been a long time since I had a meal as good as this.”
I glanced at the black Richard Mille on his wrist.
If I remember correctly, Lucas also has one in his collection, and with the price, you could buy a Benz G–Class. Now it’s even more expensive, and even if you have the money, there’s nowhere to buy it.
This scion held a bowl and stared at me with his dark, unblinking eyes, asking, “Can I have another
bowl of rice?”
I nodded helplessly.
That night, almost all of the pot of rice that I had planned to save for fried rice tomorrow was eaten by Neil.
His appetite shocked me, and several times I couldn’t help but stare at his stomach, wondering
where all that food went.
He probably felt a little embarrassed and came out of the kitchen after voluntarily washing the dishes, asking, “Is there anything else I need to do?”
I thought for a moment and said, “The light bulb in the room is broken. Can you help me replace
it?”
I just said it casually, never expected this scion to be able to fix the light bulb. I didn’t think he would actually go down and buy a light bulb for me and change it.
When I stood on the stool and reached out, a solid waist emerged from under the hoodie, with
clearly visible abs.
I couldn’t help but take a glance, and then I took another glance.
But Neil caught him red–handed and he smiled and asked, “Is it good–looking?”
“Should I lift it up for you to have a clear look?”

He was about to lift the hem, gesturing as he spoke. I was startled and took a step back, frantically waving my hands, saying, “No, no, no!”
Until he left, the image of those few abdominal muscles still lingered in my mind.
I thought I would have insomnia that night, after all, I had just made up my mind to get a divorce.
Maybe it was Neil’s sudden interruption, but I actually didn’t think much about Lucas.
A good night’s sleep.
In the following days, I walked around nearby and looked at several storefronts.
I planned to pick up my skills and continue to fulfill the dreams that were not completed.
At all started with opening a small shop.
As the night gradually dyed the horizon, I was sitting on the sofa studying recipes when my phone suddenly rang.
I picked it up and saw that it was Lucas.
It has been three days since he filed for divorce, and this is the first time he has called.
“Why haven’t you come back yet?”
His tone was as impatient as ever, as if I were being unreasonable.
I calmly said, “Lucas, I’m not going back.”
“Are you really getting divorced?”
He sneered, “Helen, when are you going to stop causing trouble?”
I didn’t want to argue with him meaninglessly anymore. “Just sign the divorce agreement and send
it to me. If there’s anything you’re not satisfied with, we can discuss it again.”
Lucas fell silent for a moment, and his tone grew heavy. “Suit yourself.”
He said coldly and then hung up the phone.
This matter didn’t really affect my mood because Neil came to mooch off me again.
These days, it was as if he had installed surveillance in my house. Every time I cooked, the doorbell would start ringing.
He also didn’t come empty–handed, he always brought something with him every time.
And whatever is expensive, bring it.
Just launched durian, exquisite tableware, tea cakes that look like they have a vintage…

He insisted on giving it to me even though I didn’t want it, saying that he couldn’t eat or use it alone. He gave it to me so that he could continue to mooch off of it when he comes later.
Every time, he would also help me out, and he was very skilled.
After a while, I felt too embarrassed to refuse him, so I accepted this dinner partner without really
thinking.
