At this moment, Harvey and Melany had no idea that they were about to receive a beating that would leave them bruised in ways they never imagined.
As they walked into the room, they were still muttering complaints about Elaine and Shirley.
Clearly, their mood was anything but good, especially because of Elaine’s sharp words.
Harvey, trying to soothe his old lover, grumbled, “That Kingsley’s fiancée–what a brute. No manners at all.
“No wonder she’s estranged from her own family. If it weren’t for our son, I’d have taught her a lesson today. The Morgan family has high standards for their daughters–in–law, you know.”
He snorted dismissively, as if he was still in charge of the Morgan family.
Having lived abroad for so many years, Harvey knew Kingsley was competent, already capable of standing on his own. But for some strange reason, Kingsley had chosen such a fiancée–pretty, sure, but lacking in character and ability. No pedigree to speak of.
“Well, Harvey continued, “Kingsley grew up with his parents, doesn’t feel much affection for me. But my precious Dangelo -he deserves a top–tier woman.”
Melany smiled gracefully, showing an understanding demeanor. “It’s alright. I won’t let today’s incident bother me. Elaine is Shirley’s daughter–in–law, so of course, she’s going to side with her.
“But still, she shouldn’t have done that. After all, you’re her father–in–law. Maybe Shirley has filled her head with all her grievances. Still, it’s not right.
Harvey nodded. “You’re the sensible one, Melany.”
Harvey continued, “When I go to the Morgan family tomorrow, I’ll have a word with Dad and Mom, ask them how Shirley is raising her kids. I am Kingsley’s father. Elaine’s father–in–law. What she did today–totally disrespectful.”
Melany nodded. “Alright, we’ll be ready for tomorrow,”
Tomorrow, when they went to the Morgan family to meet Benjamin and Grace, she knew she had to be well–prepared.
Melany thought, “Shirley only dares to act this way because she knows Benjamin and Grace have her back. But no matter what, Harvey is the biological father of her two sons.”
Meanwhile, Elaine and Shirley were waiting with anticipation. Elaine, with a stick in hand, and Shirley carrying a sack.
Dangelo hard booked two rooms–Harvey and Melany in one, and Dangelo at the far end of the hall in another. The family lived in luxury, enjoying the finest comforts.
“Dad, Mom, I’ll go back to my room now,” Dangelo said.
Once Dangelo entered his room, Harvey and Melany walked into theirs–only to have the door close behind them, and before they could turn on the lights, they were both suddenly enveloped by a sack.
Their vision went black.
“Who–who is it? What’s happening?” Harvey and Melany shouted, but before they could react, the sounds of furious blows
rained down on them.
Elaine, with Shirley by her side, launched a savage attack on these two traitors.

The air was filled with sharp cries of pain, muttled by the thick blankets.
The soundproofing of the room was excellent, so no one outside could hear.
The two in the sack screamed but could do little more than writhe in agon struck them–Elaine and Shirley had trapped then.
Melany’s pained gasps and sobs could be heard sporadically,
“Shirley, how dare you hit us… she whimpered.
The beating continued, relentless, until it abruptly stopped.
They had been ambushed. The realization
Then, Shirley’s hand gripped Melany’s chin, jerking her face up. With one swift motion, she slapped Melany’s face, leaving two clear red handprints.
“Shirley, so it was you.” Melany gasped
Harvey, still shocked, couldn’t believe Shirley had the audacity to strike them.
Shirley smirked, looking at Melany, who had always worn her “virtuous” façade. Now it was time to tear it down.
“Melany, aren’t you the picture of purity?” Shirley laughed bitterly. “Let’s see how long you can keep up this ‘innocent angel‘ act. You’ve already stooped so low as to be a home–wrecker, crawling into a married man’s bed. What does modesty matter to someone like you?”
Melany’s mind reeled, unable to grasp that Shirley had moved to this level. She wasn’t playing the game anymore–Shirley was going straight for the jugular.
Tears welled up in Melany’s eyes. “Shirley, stop! If you keep this up, Harvey will hate you even more.”
But Shirley only laughed, slapping her again. “What are you talking about? I’ve already ditched this man. You think Harvey’s hatred has any power over me? Let me make it clear: I don’t care.”
Elaine added with a cold sneer, “Exactly. Shirley doesn’t care. She’s been telling me she wants to hit you both. You two- trashy home–wreckers–think you have anything that could intimidate us? Please. Hilarious.”
Shirley smirked at Elaine’s words. “Elaine’s right,”
And with that, she grabbed a wooden stick and began to assault Harvey, aiming for all the sensitive spots,
Harvey never imagined that Shirley would turn on him like this, hitting him so hard that he screamed in agony.
Elaine had told her that using a blanket to hit someone not only hurts like hell but also leaves no visible bruises or wounds, making it the perfect method of punishment.
Harvey yelled, barely able to catch his breath, “Shirley, why are you doing this? I’m your husband!”
Melany, watching this scene unfold, was losing her mind. She never thought Shirley would dare lay a hand on Harvey.
“Shirley, are you crazy? How can you hit Harvey?!”
Elaine, eyes narrowing with cold fury, slapped Melany hard across the face. “Shirley can hit whoever she wants. Who do you think you are, you home–wrecking slut, to talk? Don’t think I won’t slap you too. Stop pretending to be innocent.”
Melany staggered from the slap, her face burning with rage, but she was too shocked and helpless to say anything as they both continued to batter her and Harvey
Shirley, her anger still burning, took out her frustrations on the man she had once loved and hated with equal passion The

force of her blows was no less than what she would’ve given a stranger who had wronged her.
Harvey, who had always been adored and pampered by women, had never in his life experienced this kind of torment. Shirley showed no mercy, hitting him harder with every strike. “You thought you were so special, didn’t you? That this pathetic love triangle‘ gave you some sort of status? Please, Without the Morgan family’s name, you’re just a nobody. I can’t believe I ever fought for you.”
Harvey’s face turned every color of the rainbow.
Shirley continued her verbal assault as she beat him. “You thought you were worth fighting over? You weren’t even worth my time. Let’s see how long you two fools can keep up your true love‘ act.”
Harvey could barely speak, curling up and crying out in pain.
Melany, still reeling from the abuse, tried to call for help, but Shirley quickly silenced her.
Shirley grabbed a pair of slippers from the closet, slapping them across Melany’s face with a force that sent her head spinning.
Elaine watched as Shirley took Melany down a peg, the woman who had always tried to play the perfect, untouchable lady. Now, her hair was a mess, her makeup smeared, her dress torn–she looked like a completely different person.
“All these years, you’ve been too proud, pretending to be some innocent angel. Now look at you. A home–wrecker, broken and humiliated. Tell me, how does it feel?”
Melany’s face and body were aching, but she couldn’t even scream. The pain was unbearable, and all she could do was sob silently.
Elaine was enjoying every moment. This was long overdue.
The beating went on for over an hour. By the time it stopped, both Elaine and Shirley were exhausted.
Shirley, finally getting some release from years of built–up resentment, sighed in satisfaction.
She took a sip of water and suddenly asked, “Elaine, the method you taught me is so strange. I’ve been hitting these two, and they’re clearly in agony, but they’re not passing out at all. What’s going on?”
Considering how hard they had been hitting them, both of them should have been on the brink of death by now.
Elaine casually replied, “Mom, don’t you remember? I’m a doctor.”
“Have you ever heard of that story where a med student stabbed someone eighty–eight times, and when the victim went to the hospital, they were told it was just a minor injury?
Elaine finished speaking and playfully winked.
“A little trick I learned in medical school–avoiding the fatal spots. They’ll hurt like hell, but there won’t be any permanent marks Trust me, they’ll feel this pain for a while.”
Shirley grinned. Ah, I see
Elaine smiled. “So, Mom, how do you feel now?”
Shirley, satisfied, nodded. “Relieved”

Shirley thought to herself, ‘So, Elaine is a doctor after all.
After half an hour of humiliation and torment, the two scumbags were finally broken. Shirley and Elaine decided it was time to call it a day. But as they opened the door, they froze, eyes locking on Kingsley.
The three of them stared at each other in silence, exchanging glances.
The hotel room was a disaster: broken furniture, scattered belongings, and Harvey and Melany huddled together, looking close to death’s door.
Kingsley, seeing the state of the room, barely reacted. He gave a quick glance at Harvey and Melany, then turned his gaze toward Shirley and Elaine without asking what had happened.
“Uh… Kingsley. I… Shirley stammered, but Elaine quickly interrupted, feeling a bit guilty.
They hadn’t told Kingsley about the “lesson” they planned for Harvey and Melany. It was all a bit sudden, and Elaine wasn’t used to keeping things from him.
Shirley cleared her throat softly. There was a part of her that felt guilty too–dragging Elaine into all of this wasn’t something she could be proud of.
Kingsley had clearly come to clean up the mess. This hotel was under Shirley Morgan’s name, and someone from the staff had tipped him off when they saw Shirley and Elaine walking around with sticks, seemingly waiting for someone.
He’d been worried and decided to check in early to prevent anything bad from happening to them.
As soon as Kingsley saw Harvey and Melany, it clicked. He quickly realized what had gone down. He couldn’t help but admire Shirley and Elaine’s boldness.
“Let’s go, he said, not waiting for a response.
Shirley and Elaine exchanged a glance before they took his hand and walked toward the stairs.
“Kingsley, don’t be mad. Elaine said, a little apologetically. “Shirley and I didn’t tell you because we didn’t want you to worry. These two scumbags have hurt you, Mom, Benjamin, and Grace. I wasn’t going to let them get away with it. I had to do this.”
Elaine’s soft grip on his hand didn’t go unnoticed, and Kingsley’s lips curled into a small smile. She didn’t seem to realize how much her words warmed him.
“Look,” he said gently, T’m not against you and Mom doing whatever you need to. But next time, please let me know. That way, I can make sure I’m there to protect you if anything goes wrong.”
Elaine chuckled, her playful grin back. “Okay, I’ll remember that.”
“Good, Kingsley said, his voice soft but firm.
They left together, unaware that Dangelo was blissfully unaware of the chaos. He was busy chatting with Bianca on WhatsApp, completely absorbed in their conversation.
Bianca had told him that she and her brothers were coming to Lento soon, as Calvin had gotten into some trouble and the game company needed managing. She and Jepson would temporarily take over operations.
Dangelo’s heart raced a little faster.
Meanwhile, in the other room, Harvey and Melany were struggling to catch their breath.
Harvey, feeling his vision blur, managed to open his eyes just enough to look at Melany. “Melany, are you… alright?”
Melany’s weak voice echoed back, “Honey… everything hurts sq much

Harvey was in just as much pain, though he couldn’t figure out how Shirley and Elaine had managed to beat them so badly. They looked a bit battered, but there were no bruises, just pure, unrelenting pain.
Before long, the police arrived.
They flashed their badges and coldly announced, “We’re here for a prostitution raid.”
“There’s been a report about illegal activities. Please show us your IDs”
Melany couldn’t believe it. She was being accused of prostitution? The shock was too much for her, and she burst into tears, covering her face in shame,
It was Shirley’s idea to call the police. Elaine hadn’t even known Shirley had planned this little “surprise.”
