Chapter 245
Jepson never imagined things would spiral into this unfixable situation–so rigid and irreparably broken. Elaine had completely severed ties with the Yeats family, becoming someone else’s daughter.
With that everything was decided
He could no longer think of Elaine as a sister, nor could he ever expect her to call him “brother” again.
Because now, they were strangers–perhaps even enemies.
Before leaving. Tucker had told him. “Elaine now has three brothers, and they’re all treating her well. She doesn’t need us anymore. No need for a brother, parents, or even a grandmother.
She’ll have three brothers who’ll spoil her, a mother who’ll guide her with love, and a father who’ll fight anyone for her. She’ll even have a doting grandfather who’ll shower her with care.”
“And all of that is now completely separate from us and this family. That’s the best outcome.”
Tucker said this lightly, almost nonchalantly.
Maybe, in the end, this was what Tucker had hoped for.
In his heart, he sincerely wished Elaine a lifetime of happiness, hoping she’d forget all the suffering and pain of the past.
But for Jepson, the truth was harder to bear, Elaine had new brothers now, ones who’d taken their place–and he couldn’t quide accept that. It felt almost absurd.
Shawn, Harlan, and Tucker, on the other hand, had all come to terms with it. Even though it hurt so deeply, it felt like it would never heal, they still smiled and wished Elaine well.
When Elaine publicly declared her break with the Yeats family, Jepson didn’t feel much at first. Perhaps, deep down, he had expected her to return eventually. After all, wasn’t it just because she was unhappy with the treatment she got in their family? What bothered them the most was how she had become this unrecognizable, unreasonable person.
Elaine had always been rebellious, but there had been boundaries. Now, though, it seemed like she was completely determined to oppose them.
Their only reaction to her transformation had been two simple questions. “How dare she? How could she?”
It wasn’t until now that Jepson seemed to understand. Elaine’s transformation wasn’t out of spite–it was her way of cutting all ties with the Yeats family
Maybe it was just like Trevon had said: every time they had made trouble for her because of Bianca, she fought back with everything she had. But instead of reflecting on it, he just pushed harder, demanding that she admit fault.
Even though he and Calvin had both shown deep disgust, even to the point of avoiding Elaine and staying away from home. now that she was really gone, never coming back… Jepson felt a strange emptiness.
The night before, he had dreamt of Elaine.
All the memories with her flashed like scenes from a movie, overwhelming him in a rush.
Jepson, tomorrow you’re flying abroad for school. I packed your power bank and books so you won’t get bored on the plane. Do you know how hard it was to find this book? I had to check so many libraries before I finally found the one you wapted. Someone else was eyeing it, but I got it first!”

Chapter 245
“Jepson, how’s it going abroad? I sent you a postcard. Do you miss the view of Boynton? Don’t worry, I’ll send you one every
week”
“Jepson, are you doing well over there? Did you get my star postcard? I picked it out with my friends.”
“Elaine, are you out of your mind? We live in the age of the internet, do you really need to send me a postcard every week?” “But I just wanted you to know, Jepson, that we’re always thinking of you. I’m worried you’ll miss home in a foreign land.”
Without realizing it. Jepson was crying, his pillow soaked with tears.
He couldn’t understand why these vivid memories were surfacing now–every detail felt so real, like it was happening all
over again
In the dream, he couldn’t stop asking himself: Is this really what you wanted?
He didn’t know.
Maybe everything would get better eventually.
With that thought, Jepson boarded the plane to Lento,
Upon arriving, he first went with Bianca to a gaming company, and then consulted with a lawyer, hoping to get Calvin out as soon as possible.
Although Calvin and Maggie had been arrested, they hadn’t succeeded in their plans. Elaine was fine, and nothing major had
come of it
Legally, there was still room to reconsider.
When Jepson saw Calvin, he was no longer the confident man he once was. He looked defeated, disheartened.
Seeing Jepson, Calvin’s first words were, “Where’s Bianca? Is she okay?”
Jepson’s emotions were mixed. He said, “Don’t worry, Bianca’s fine. She’s not involved in this.”
However, when Jepson had asked Bianca to come with him to see Calvin, she had refused, citing feeling unwell, Perhaps, deep down, she felt guilt
towards Calvin.
Jepson didn’t know, but Bianca was simply avoiding facing him.
Calvin sighed with relief. That’s good. That’s good.”
Jepson replied, Ill do everything I can to get you out soon.
“Thank you.”
Meanwhile, Elaine couldn’t care less about the Yeats family. She was living her life to the fullest, enjoying every moment of
her rebirth.
Even though time had passed since her second chance at life, so much had happened that she couldn’t help but reflect on it. The once–thriving Yeats family was now in decline.

Chapter 245
Elaine thought it was deserved–they brought this upon themselves. Without her, did they really think they could rise to t top of the social ladder? It was a ridiculous dream.
After she left, the Yeats family hadn’t focused on improving themselves–they had fixated on her feud with Bianca. It was 1 wonder they were falling apart.
But then again, the Yeats family had always considered Bianca their good luck charm. It made sense that they would such lengths to protect her.
Elaine wondered if Bianca had the ability to bring the Yeats family back to their former glory.

Book Elf piped up, “Go for it. Elaine. I can feel that Jepson is changing. It seems like Sandra becoming his mother had a rea impact on him. Oh, some people are just too stubborn.
“They only realize what they’ve lost when it’s gone. You wouldn’t believe how twisted and complicated his feelings were when he heard you had three brothers. I could barely stop laughing.
Elaine just listened to Book Elf report on the progress of her main mission, her response indifferent as ever.
Book Elf said. “Elaine, do you feel like you’re living in a different world now? Well, at least most things have changed for the better, thanks to your rebirth.
