Chapter 246
Elaine sighed, “Yeah, I do feel a little nostalgic. After all, I’m a woman who’s lived two lives now.”
For her, this life seemed to be moving toward a fulfilling conclusion.
She had broken free from the Yeats family, escaped a premature death, and gained new parents–along with three brothers
who dote on her.
Now, she could be with Kingsley forever.
As for the Yeats family, they were destined to wallow in regret and misery, suffering through a lifetime of hardship.
Book Elf chirped. “Oh. of course!”
It looked at its host, suddenly feeling a bit sentimental. After all, it had been with Elaine through thick and thin, fighting side by side.
Elaine deserved to be truly happy this time around.
At that moment, Kingsley opened the door and stepped inside.
Book Elf let out a cute “meow” as it saw him, already accustomed to being in the same space as Elaine and this perpetually present cat.
As it trotted out the door, it kept up the act, trying to look as innocent and harmless as possible–just a playful little kitten. nothing to worry about
“Kingsley, you’re back!”
Elaine smiled brightly, rushing to embrace him.
Kingsley looked down at the girl in his arms, and suddenly, he was hit with the memory of when she tried on her wedding dress before their engagement. She looked like a playful fawn from a fairytale, sweet and mischievous, crashing straight into
his heart
His gaze softened, and the warmth in his eyes grew.
“Yeah, I’m back.”
He reached out, pulling her into his arms, and gently stroked the back of her head. “Elaine, will you marry me?”
He was greedy. Her beauty, her love, he wanted it all for a lifetime.
From his initial resistance to indifference, and then all the little things that touched him, his world had been dark until she entered it, bringing light.
So now, he was sure. It was her
Elaine paused for a moment, then smiled, her eyes sparkling with joy. “Yes.”
“We’ll get married:
In every fairytale, the hero and heroine always end with a wedding because that was the happy ending.
And in this life, they were the happy couple.
Kingsley leaned down and kissed her again, his lips lingering on hers.

Chapter 246
When Grace found out, she immediately began gathering the elders to discuss the wedding with the Yeats family.
George, though, couldn’t bear to let Elaine go. He’d only just gotten her back, and now she was getting married? Sandra, however, pointed out that having a loving husband and another family who cared for her was a good thing.
“Besides, with them living so close, if anyone dared slap Elaine, George and the others would be there to defend her within an hour.
George grumbled, “Who in the world would dare slap our Yeats family princess? I’ll go teach them a lesson. If Elaine slapped them, then fine, they deserve it.”
The three brothers nodded in agreement, all sharing their father’s protective sentiment.
Sandra watched the four of them, and couldn’t help but smile. They were full–on guardians, fiercely protective of their sister and daughter.
A true family of defenders, it was clear.
Elaine leaving Boynton, of course, became a topic of gossip among those in the know.
Apart from the Yeats family, who knew she had acknowledged George and Sandra as her parents in Lento, everyone else was puzzled, thinking she had just moved there on her own.
“Looks like Elaine didn’t want to be anywhere near the Yeats family, so she moved to Lento.”
The Yeats family is a bunch of monsters. It’s only natural she’d want to get as far away as possible. Since she’s making money in the entertainment industry now, moving to Lento is no problem. But I wonder if she’ll come back. Will Mr. Morgan go with her?
“Maybe not. Mr. Morgan has been in Boynton for years, so relocating would be tough for him.”
Well, seeing the Yeats family falling apart lately, I think it’s karma.”
“Elaine’s been so amazing recently, even I’ve started to admire her. After watching The Sovereign, I’ve totally become a fan. I can’t wait to see what she does next. Not only is she good at variety shows, but her acting in dramas is so much better than Bianca’s. If she keeps this up, she’s going to be a huge star.”
“Yeah, and she’s so well–educated! Isn’t she working on a travel variety show? That one’s been getting a lot of attention, too.”
“Ahh, I’m so excited!”
Samantha, within her socialite circle, had also heard the gossip.
She hadn’t expected Elaine to have this kind of power–to single–handedly stir up such chaos within the Yeats family.
Although she still resented Shawn for breaking off their engagement and causing her embarrassment, seeing this situation unfold made her feelings a little complicated.
Perhaps it was because Elaine had earned some well–deserved respect
Abigail also knew that Samantha had always looked down on Elaine.
Ever since Samantha had taken an interest in the family’s fashion design business, Abigail had felt an ominous premonition, fearing that Samantha’s negative emotions would only keep her stuck in the past.
Now that Samantha and Shawn were no longer together, Abigail thought it was best to cut ties completely.
*Sweetheart, you can’t blame Elaine for your breakup with Shawn. You should’ve stayed out of the conflict between her and Bianca. You were just making things harder for yourself. And now you’re working at the fashion comman

overshadow Elaine? If you’re going in with that attitude, I advise you to rethink. It’s pointless”
Samantha furrowed her brow, “Alright, Mom. I have my own plans.”
She just couldn’t let go of the bitterness.
With that, she walked away, and Abigail knew there was little she could do. Samantha would only learn once she hit a wall.
Elaine’s ability to make Starlight Fashion successful meant she was no ordinary person. It was just that her low profile had allowed Bianca to overshadow her.
In a Gaming Company, after visiting Calvin, Jepson returned, physically drained.
He had rented a place in Lento, living with Bianca.
Seeing Jepson made Bianca genuinely happy.
She hadn’t eaten lunch, waiting for him to come back and fix that.
She’d been so caught up in a conversation with Dangelo earlier that she was still buzzing with excitement.
Jepson, you’re back!”
Yeah
Bianca didn’t ask about Calvin, but instead, inquired about Elaine. “Is Elaine still at Lento for the university anniversary? The Lento University celebration should be over by now, right?”
After the whole poisoning incident died down, Bianca had shifted her attention back to Elaine, assuming she was still staying at Lento University under the pretense of attending its anniversary.
But then again, compared to Lento, Boynton seemed small.
Bianca had no idea about Elaine recognizing George and Sandra as her parents, so Jepson filled her in on the details. Bianca froze, stunned by the news.
