Calvin probably never imagined that the truth would unfold this way.
He sat there, suddenly agitated, his eyes locked on Elaine, the red creeping into his gaze.
“No way. You’re lying to me. Bianca would never deceive me, she would never do this. Elaine, stop trying to pit us against each other. Bianca isn’t like that, but you–you might be
Elaine saw Calvin’s instant frenzy coming from miles away.
To the Yeats family, Bianca was a sweet angel–how could she possibly do something like this?
“Lying to you?” Elaine smirked, pulling out something from her bag–a recording, and a video. “You don’t think I have proof, do you?”
“Bianca’s guy was a junkie. When they were negotiating, he secretly recorded their conversation–he planned to blackmail her later and he even filmed the whole poisoning discussion. I’ve already handed both the video and the recording over to the police.”
Calvin’s jaw dropped. He was too stunned to say anything.
Elaine continued, “Do you know who Bianca used as leverage when talking to this guy? You’re probably guessing it by now- she used your name, Calvin. From the moment she set the trap, Bianca had everything planned, making sure she’d come out squeaky clean. She was the mastermind, yet it’s you, Calvin, who’s rotting in a prison cell”
Elaine even gave a slow, mocking clap,
“Calvin, didn’t see that coming, did you? In this whole scheme, you were nothing more than Blanca’s pawn. Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant. Every time I see the Yeats family in their dog–eat–dog dramas, it’s pure gold.
I can’t stop laughing, it’s too much. You guys really are the perfect match–so compatible! You’re helping her take the fall, so I guess you’re both getting exactly what you deserve. Truly, I wish you all could stay this ‘close‘ forever.”
Elaine’s words struck Calvin like a lightning bolt.

Elaine, seeing her mission accomplished, stood up and looked at his wild, frantic expression. “If you want to see Bianca, that’s not my problem. Have no obligation to help you find her. You’ll just have to wait until she decides to show up.
“By the way, isn’t it strange that Bianca hasn’t come to see you this whole time? She used you and tossed you aside. How pathetic. Now, enjoy your little prison lide”
Elaine’s words pierced Calvin like a knife to the heart.

Chapter 250
For the first time, regret flooded his heart.
Regret for helping Bianca set up Elaine, regret for taking the fall for her.
He thought he was protecting her, but in reality. Bianca had been planning to push him into the fire from the start.
Elaine, standing tall above him, looked down. “Calvin, you’re no better. Yes, Bianca did want to ruin my reputation, but you and she are cut from the same cloth. Don’t act all inocent, like you didn’t know what you were doing.
“You let your own flesh and blood sister play with people’s lives. You’re no different from her. Once the rumors spread, who cares about the truth? No one’s going to stop and ask what actually happened.”

Calvin, staring at her. felt a twinge of guilt for the first time.
But guilt didn’t matter anymore.
Elaine didn’t spare him another glance. She turned and walked away.
At the door, Karl and his brothers were waiting for her.
Glenn asked. “So. Elaine? All done with that kid?”
Elaine nodded. “Yep, he’s probably questioning his entire life now.”
Henry gave a devilish grin. “Good. Let them tear each other apart.
The three brothers escorted Elaine back home.
Later, Calvin somehow managed to get a message to Jepson, saying he wanted to see Bianca.
Jepson was in the middle of a discussion with their lawyer when he received the message.
Upon hearing that Calvin wanted to see Bianca, Jepson was momentarily confused.
But then he thought about it–Calvin was about to go to prison, maybe he just wanted to see if Bianca was okay.
“Bianca, Calvin wants to see you. Prepare yourself.
Bianca, hearing this, felt a cold shiver down her spine.
“Calvin wants to see me?
Jepson didn’t notice the unease in her voice. He nodded, casually saying, “Yeah, maybe he’s worried about you. This situation isn’t looking good for him. You should go see him, at least.
The last part was said with a heavy sigh.
Bianca’s gut told her something wasn’t right, but she still nodded. “Alright.”
When Bianca got back to her room, she received a text.

As soon as Calvin saw her, he asked the question that had been gnawing at him for so long.
