Chapter 257
Chapter 257
Karl didn’t think too much of it and continued working on his songs with his team.
Meanwhile, every time Bianca tried to make a move or get closer to Karl, Elaine appeared just in time, crushing Bianca’s Tragile heart into pieces, making her believe Elaine was doing it on purpose.
If it weren’t for the fact that Elaine was Karl’s blood relative, Hanca might have genuinely thought Elaine was trying to steal her man.
A sense of malice began to creep into Bianca’s thoughts. Perhaps it was because, back in Boynton, she had taken all the love from her brothers and parents, leaving Elaine with deep emotional scars.
So, even if it meant getting back at Elaine, Bianca was determined to keep pursuing Karl, hoping to find some crack in his
resolve.
Unfortunately for her, Elaine didn’t give her a single opening to flirt, and Karl, unlike Jepson and the others, didn’t blindly side with Bianca, Instead, whatever Elaine said, Karl believed without hesitation. This infuriated Bianca even more.
Karl also began to notice how Bianca kept finding ways to inch closer to him. At first, he just found it absurd, but didn’t dwell on it. It wasn’t until Elaine casually mentioned one day, “Hey, I remember Bianca and Finley were madly in love, right? So, what’s the deal with her always hovering around you? Don’t you think Finley might get jealous?”
The name Finley clicked in Karl’s mind. He turned to Elaine and asked, “Wait, wasn’t Finley someone you were supposed to be with before?”
Elaine nearly spit out her water. “Can you stop using that word to describe my relationship with Finley? We never dated. He was just my supposed fiancé back then, but I was so young–I didn’t even know what love was!”
“Ah, right.” Karl nodded. “That guy was a piece of trash. He wasn’t even worthy of being your ex. If he was already dating Bianca while wearing your fiancé title, then he must have no morals at all.”
Karl had pieced things together and now understood the mess between Bianca and Finley.
“Ugh, Bianca is clearly no good.” Karl muttered. “She has a boyfriend but doesn’t even know how to keep some distance from other men. From what I’ve seen, this type of person just doesn’t know boundaries. How can she be so careless with something as basic as personal space between men and women?”
Elaine nodded in agreement. “Exactly, Karl. You’re right. This could lead to all kinds of misunderstandings. If Finley sees you two together, it could cause major problems, and we really don’t need any more of that. Let’s just keep things calm and avoid unnecessary trouble.”
“I get it now” Karl said, a little more determined.
From that day on, whenever Karl saw Bianca, he treated her like a virus–he practically ran in the other direction, afraid of getting infected by her.
Bianca, seeing Karl’s behavior, couldn’t help but realize he was actively avoiding her. She was left baffled, like a confused monk scratching his head.
Elaine, watching Karl’s shift, silently gave him a thumbs–up.
Coincidentally, later that afternoon, while Elaine was scrolling through her phone, she came across a melodramatic novel that seemed eerily familiar. In the story, the female antagonist, in a desperate attempt to be with the male lead, pushed her own brother to pursue the female lead, ultimately leading to his tragic death.
“In the end, the brother became a mere stepping stone for the romance between the leads.
Elaine shuddered at the absurdity of it.

“Are you kidding me? To get the guy, she sacrifices her own brother? What kind of ridiculous, melodramatic plot is that?”
She couldn’t help but laugh bitterly. “Thank God in my past life, even when I was crazy, I didn’t do anything as stupid as what that character did. If the author dared write me like that, I’d rather just end it all myself.”
It was the kind of twisted behavior that made her shiver.
In the end. Bianca had no choice but to give up trying to seduce Karl on the show. She decided to wait for the fallout over the songs, hoping that when Karl was crushed by it, she could swoop in and take advantage.
A few months later. Trevon announced his album. He released the lead track, Rainy.
The song shot to the top of the charts, quickly becoming the new trend. The company behind Trevon’s music was Galaxy Entertainment, and with his success, the higher–ups there regained a glimmer of hope, thinking they were on the road to
recovery.
Karl, who had been in seclusion working on his music, released his new album on the very first day he came out of hiding. But when Karl dropped his album, the internet exploded.
His first song sounded almost identical to Trevon’s, except for some minor differences in the instruments, arrangements, and lyrics. Trevon, ever the arrogant one, had slightly altered Mandala’s lyrics, but Karl? He used the original words without hesitation, making the song even more catchy.
Fans and netizens were shocked, speculating who had plagiarized whom, and whether Mandala had written these songs for Karl or Trevon
Trevon, who had released his song first, was furious. Since he had directly communicated with Mandala both online and in person, he was sure the song belonged to him. So when he saw Karl’s track, he immediately accused him of stealing his
work.
Though they were cousins, their relationship wasn’t great.
Trevon filed a lawsuit against Karl and publicly declared that all seven songs he had were written and adapted by Mandala. He demanded that Karl immediately remove his songs from all platforms, apologize publicly, and even pay compensation. Trevon’s fans flooded Karl’s Twitter with insults, calling him a thief.
Karl was furious and completely bewildered. How on earth had Mandala’s songs ended up in Trevon’s hands? He had no idea.
But things got even stranger when Mandala–who had never shown herself–suddenly appeared in a video, revealing herself to the world.
The woman in the video was in her twenties, with a figure that closely resembled Mandala’s. Sitting in a chair, she looked straight at the camera and said, “I am Mandala. I wrote these songs for Trevon. Given Karl’s infringement, we will pursue this matter to the fullest.
The video was a bombshell. It not only threw Karl under the bugs, but it also claimed that the songs were never meant for him, but for Trevon
Karl was stunned, unable to believe what he was hearing. They had been in constant contact through WhatsApp, and he had been working with Mandala one–on–one. How could she suddenly turn on him and publicly accuse him?
He was drowning in doubt, trying to figure out the truth. But then, just as he was about to reach out to Mandala, Elaine interrupted him. “Karl, she’s not Mandala. She’s a fake.”
