Chapter 277
Chapter 277
Elaine was reviewing financial reports with Sally at the company when she first heard the news from the Yeats family. She couldn’t believe it–Bianca had been horribly disfigured. Ella had ruined her scalp so thoroughly that even if Bianca tried hair restoration, it would never be the same. She might end up bald for life.
For someone like Bianca, who cherished her beauty above all else, it felt like a death sentence.
Sally clicked her tongue in disbelief. “It’s tragic, really, I always thought Bianca was playing the perfect role–her beauty, her innocence, and that sweet personality. She’d have any man wrapped around, her finger. Every guy who met her just fell in love. She’s the type of woman everyone envies and wants to protect. But now, look at her… it’s honestly pitiful”
Sally added with a hint of sarcasm, “How many men has she enchanted, anyway? Have the netizens even counted? Seems like it’s too many to keep track of. But now? I bet no one’s envying her anymore.”
Elaine shook her head, a dark smile creeping onto her face. “And it’s all her fault. She’s the one who destroyed herself, always hurting others. If she hadn’t caused so much trouble, she could have lived out the perfect fantasy, with a perfect happy ending.”
She paused, a thought brewing in her mind. “She should have just played her role as the heroine. Why keep challenging me. the villain? What’s the point in competing with me?”
Sally shrugged. “Exactly. No one should have to play second fiddle to another person. We all deserve to be the stars of our own stories.”
Meanwhile, at Lento Hospital, Jepson had been moved from the ICU to a regular ward. The news was even worse than expected–though he hadn’t become a vegetable, he was left completely immobile. His arms had been amputated. The word “tragic” didn’t even begin to describe it.
Trevon had barely left Lento, either by Jepson’s bedside or vie
Calvin in prison.
Calvin, in his jail cell, was fully aware of everything going on outside. His heart was heavy with grief over Jepson’s condition, but there was nothing he could say.
Who would’ve thought the sister he loved and protected the most would be the one to destroy him like this?
As for Bianca, it was clear now that this was her karmic retribution. She had hurt so many people, even trying to frame Elaine’s reputation and integrity.
Tears welled up in Calvin’s eyes as he spoke bitterly. “She deserves this. She should suffer just like I did. I want to watch her self–destruct in front of me.”
Trevon looked at his brother, his voice cold. “Don’t worry. Her time has come. And so has ours.”
The word retribution was heavy on both their hearts, but Trevon had a deeper, more painful understanding of what it
meant.
After visiting Calvin, Trevon returned to the hospital, just in time to see his mother arriving from Boynton.
The events surrounding Bianca’s wedding had reached his ears as well, and he knew that the Yeats family’s dream of entering the aristocracy had collapsed beyond repair.
Tracy and Trevon exchanged a look but said nothing, standing quietly by Jepson’s side.
During Jepson’s long stay at the hospital, it seemed like he was trapped in a never–ending nightmare. When he finally woke up, he couldn’t believe the horror he faced. He was now a shell of himself.
“My hands… where are my hands? What happened to me? I’m a cripple! I can’t believe this is happening. Why couldn’t I just die?”

Tracy rushed to him, crying, holding him tight, pleading for him to stop talking like this. “Jepson, don’t do this to yourself. Please. You have to live. But you have to tell me who did this to you? Why? Why did they do this?”
Jepson’s eyes burned with fury, his vision blurry with rage. The memory of Bianca’s betrayal flashed before his eyes–her scornful look as she walked away, dragging a strange man with her, leaving him to bleed out on the floor, without even calling for help.
“It was Bianca. She did this to me. Mom, you have to avenge me. I loved her, I protected her, I even fought with my own sister for her… and now she wants me dead!
Jepson recounted everything, and Tracy stood frozen, in shock.
She could hardly believe it. Bianca–her precious adopted daughter–could have done something so cruel?
“No, no, this can’t be true. Jepson, you must be mistaken. Bianca would never do this to you. She’s your darling sister!” Tracy’s voice cracked, as if she couldn’t comprehend the weight of the accusation.
Her disbelief was not just for Jepson–it was as if she was questioning herself.
After everything that had happened, Tracy finally began to see the truth she had been too blind to accept. The daughter she had carefully nurtured, the one she had always been so proud of and protective over, was nothing more than a viper.
Bianca had a heart of poison, capable of destroying even the brother who had loved and cared for her. She had watched him be broken, and instead of helping, she had abandoned him, running off with a man, even returning to Boynton to marry Finley without a second thought.
And yet, Tracy had refused to believe that her daughter could be so despicable. She even went as far as to protect Bianca, shielding her from Ella’s harsh words, refusing to let anyone speak ill of her.
But the ugly truth was now undeniable. Bianca’s actions had led to Jepson being hospitalized in the ICU.
When Jepson saw his mother still in denial, the anger exploded from him. He screamed, “Mom, you’re still defending that bitch? Don’t you see? She’s the one who’s ruined us. She’s the reason we’re suffering.
“I thought she married Finley to help the Yeats family, but no–this woman plotted with an outsider, stabbed me, and then ran away. And now she’s getting married to Finley, acting like nothing ever happened!”
Tracy shook her head repeatedly, tears streaming down her face, but still, she couldn’t deny what was being said.
Trevon, standing nearby, added in a cold, biting tone, “Mom, do you know why Calvin is in prison? Everything is Bianca’s doing. She used him to ruin Elaine’s reputation, to make it look like she had slept with other men.
“She took photos, framed her, and made sure Calvin took the fall for it. He was branded a rapist, while she walked away unscathed.”
Tracy’s heart sank even further as Trevon continued, “And don’t think my suffering is any less. Bianca is the reason I’m in this mess too.”
As Trevon’s words sunk in, the hatred in his eyes was clear. Tracy’s entire world was unraveling before her. Her adopted daughter, the one she had loved and raised, was a venomous snake, destroying her sons, one by one.
“God, what did I do to deserve this?” Tracy wailed. “How could I have been so blind, making mistake after mistake, digging myself deeper and deeper into this mess?”
It was now painfully clear to her: Bianca was nothing but a disaster, a destructive force that had left nothing but pain in her wake. And Tracy? She had protected this very disaster time and time again, covering for Bianca, until it had all come crashing down around her.
She could hardly bear the weight of her own stupidity. The regret was suffocating as she beat her chest in anguish, realizing

She pounded her chest in agony, the realization of her own naivety crashing down on her. “Bianca… I treated you like my own flesh and blood. I loved you more than my real daughter. And this is how you repay me?
She collapsed into tears. “I raised a venomous snake… a poisonous scorpion… and I didn’t even know it,”
Through her sobs, she managed to ask, “Jepson… who was the man she ran off with?”
Jepson’s voice cracked. “I don’t know his name, but I heard Bianca call him Dangelo“”
“Dangelo?” Trevon’s eyes narrowed. The name sounded familiar.
Tracy’s eyes widened in realization. “Trevon… do you know who that is?”
Trevon paused, then said, “I think he’s the illegitimate son of the Morgan family. Could it be him? Kingsley’s half–brother….. Elaine might know him.”
Tracy’s fists clenched at her sides. Her face twisted with a bitter smile. “I’ve been deceived my whole life. I’ll never be able to reconcile with my daughter. But no matter what happens, I will avenge you.”
The room was filled with a heavy, sorrowful atmosphere.
While the Yeats family crumbled, Robert, the company’s CEO, remained lost in his own world, buried in the arms of his mistress, unaware of the chaos surrounding him.
Janet, meanwhile, was waiting for the right moment to finally cast Tracy aside and take her place as the new matriarch of the family.
