Chapter 278
Chapter 278
Janet had no idea that Bianca had become bald and was still plotting to team up with her to oust Tracy from the Yeats family.
When she arrived at the Yeats house, the first thing she saw was Bianca, looking utterly shattered. After medical treatment, Bianca had been allowed to return home, but her dreams of regrowing long, lustrous hair were crushed beyond repair.
A young girl who had just dropped Bianca off was gently trying to console her, “Bianca, don’t be too upset. The wigs they make these days are so good–they look just like real hair.”
But that remark only seemed to stab deeper into Bianca’s wound. She snarled, her face contorted in fury. “You little bitch, are you here to mock me? Even though I’ve left the entertainment industry, I could still crush you under my heel, no problem.”
The girl, with tears welling in her eyes, turned and fled right into Janet’s arms.
Janet’s heart nearly stopped at the sight of her daughter. Her face went pale. She rushed to Bianca’s side. “Bianca, what happened? Your hair… my god.”
When she saw the damage to Bianca’s scalp, Janet collapsed in shock. She couldn’t comprehend the nightmare before her.
All this time, she had been too busy trying to please Robert, completely unaware of Bianca’s ordeal.
Bianca, seeing the shock in Janet’s eyes, felt a sickening rush of vindication. The twisted reflection in the mirror only served to feed her fury. Was this really her fate? To be haunted by the very beauty that once defined her?
“Janet,” Bianca spat, her words venomous, “Are you out of your mind, barging in here screaming like that? Don’t forget your place–you’re just my father’s little secret, a home–wrecker. What right do you have to touch me?”
Janet, caught off guard, winced at the venom in Bianca’s tone, but couldn’t suppress her pain. “Bianca, how can you say that? Do you have any idea what I’ve done for you? If it weren’t for me bringing you into the Yeats family, you think you’d be living this rich, luxurious life? You think you’d be living in this golden cage?”
“I’ve sacrificed everything, given you the life of royalty, and this is how you treat me–your own mother?”
“Even if I was a mistress, who was I doing it for?” Janet’s voice trembled with a mix of bitterness and scorn. “You’re not even a real Yeats. If it weren’t for me keeping Robert in check, you would have been thrown out of this family a long time ago. Don’t forget, your brothers already started siding with Elaine.”
Janet’s words cut deep, and by the end of her tirade, she was clutching her chest in agony, almost as if she were physically wounded by the truth.
Bianca stood there, frozen in disbelief. She couldn’t comprehend what she was hearing.
“What… what did you just say?” Her voice cracked, her mind racing. She never, in her wildest dreams, expected Janet to be her real mother. The woman who had been nothing but a shadow, a homewrecker, a mistress–couldn’t possibly be the one who gave birth to her.
Bianca thought, ‘No, it couldn’t be true.‘
Bianca had never fully believed her biological parents were rich, but she never imagined her origins would be this sordid, this humiliating. How cruel was fate to her? Or maybe, it wasn’t fate at all. It was her own reckless choices that had twisted the script of her life into this tragic ending.
She had tried to build herself into a perfect heroine–an adored Mary Sue–but in the end, all she had done was write herself into a corner with no way out.
Elaine had only ever wanted to be left alone. But Bianca, in her need to overshadow Elaine’s existence, had trampled over

Bianca had already decided. She would ditch Tracy and live with Janet Together, they would rebuild, and maybe even destroy the woman who had raised her.
Just as the truth was about to fully sink in, Tracy stormed in from Lento. She had heard everything
When she processed the truth, she went completely still. Her entire body shook with rage.
Tanet.” Tracy’s voice was low and dangerous.
Janet wasn’t phased. She stood tall, her face smug, “Well, well, Tracy. We meet again. Bet you didn’t expect me to be standing here, in your Yeats farnily, huh?”
Tracy’s fists clenched. She stalked forward, ready to explode. “What did you say? Bianca is your daughter?”
“Yes, and? Janet answered with a sneer. Tve been with Robert for a while now, though we’re not married. But we’re living like a married couple–sweet and loving. As for you? You’re just the discarded wife. The rejected one.”
Tracy’s heart shattered. How could Robert, the man she had loved for so long, still be with Janet behind her back? How could he betray her like this? She had loved and protected him, and this was how he repaid her.
But the real sing, the real betrayal, was discovering that Bianca, her own daughter, was Janet’s flesh and blood
All these years, she had been raising Janet’s daughter, loving her, only to realize she had been nurturing a snake. This mother–daughter duo had ruined her life–one destroyed her sons, the other seduced her husband.
Janet, you bitch, Tracy spat, her fury bubbling over. “I’m going to rip you apart”
“Oh, I guess I was too easy on you last time,” Janet taunted, not even flinching-
Tracy lunged to slap her, but Janet had already anticipated the move and dodged just in time.

Tracy had guessed it, but hearing it from Janet’s mouth broke her completely. She turned to Bianca, her voice cracking with pain and rage. “Bianca, you heartless bitch! He told me you and the bastard from the Morgan family were behind his attack! How could you do that to him, to the man who loved you most?”
Tracy’s voice broke. She didn’t even understand how she had ended up with such a venomous daughter.
And in the end, all of her pain, her anger, her regret, came pouring out in a single, desperate scream.
Bianca, without a shred of guilt, sneered back, “Why? Why, you ask? You think just because you loved me, I owe you something? You think because you’ve always defended me, I should be grateful? Let me tell you something–I’m the one who doesn’t care. It was you who chose to love me, not the

She took a step closer, her eyes cold. “And you really think you love me? If you really did, you would have stopped Elaine from exposing my real identity. You’d have protected me. Instead, you chose to protect your real daughter. So don’t talk to me about love.”
Bianca’s voice hardened, venomous. “To you, I was just a tool. When I was useful, I was your darling. Now that I’m a pawn you can’t use, you just want to throw me away. So don’t even try to ask me why. Why, Tracy? You already know.”
