Chapter 19
Elaine got it–stories needed pretty female leads with those glowy beauty halos. But that didn’t mean she actually lagged behind Bianca. She just wasn’t bothered to compete with her.
Kingsley was fully in the loop about all the hospital buzz. With Elaine Laking Granny out for a stroll, he just had the bodyguards keep an discretly. Ever since that hospital visit, he’d basically accepted Flanse as his fiancée
—Elaine ran into Daisy at the mall.
Bad timing-
Daisy was happily splurging with Harlan’s card in some luxury shop,
Elaine picked up a dress for Grace to try on. En route, she spotted a beautiful skirt, se she grabbed that too, intending to glam it up herself as Grace suggested.
She didn’t wanna cross paths with Daisy, but Daisy spotted her sharp–eyed. “Well, Ms. Yeats Small work huh? Heard from Rianca you got kicked mu by Shawn Tough times out there alone, huh?”
She strutted over, oozing privilege, ready to throw some shade. “Always bullying Bianca, always at her. This is what you deserve! Trying to stral from ber! Check yourself before you wreck yourself!”
Elaine certainly paid no heed in Daisy, she took the clothes handled by the staff, intending to bring them in Grace.
Daisy was absolutely fuming as how utterly Elaine ignored her. Tuy after all, Harlan’s fiancer, soon to be her sis–in–law. How dare she treat me like this Once I marry into the Yeats family, Ill surely teach her a lesson. She was always at the bottoms of the totem pole anyway, fair game!
“Elaine, I saw you at the hospital last time. Right there with some old mm, weren’t you?” she asked trimmiphantly.
“Oh!” Elaine’s brows flicked with sudden interest.
Daisy took her reaction as guilt and puffed up even more. “So you’re a coward who dares not admit it? How could the Yeats family raise a shameless. thing like you? I truly feel ashamed for Harlan. How dare you splurge on such an expensive store? Can you even afford it? That dress you’re holding.
I want it
Elaine could already imagine Daisy’s train of thought. It seemed the Yeats family thought she had the guts to live freely outside because she was with an older, rich man.
Laughable, with my capabilities, I didn’t need that, okay? she said inwardly.
And the so–called older man Daisy saw was probably Kingsley himself, during that time he sent her back to Floren Village.
Kingsley was so strikingly handsome that he defied comparison and boasted a physique that was among the rarest and finest, yet Daisy mistook him for a big, round old man
Seriously, were her eyes ok! Elaine wondered.
She raised an eyebrow, showing no patience for Daisy and definitely not giving up the dress. “If you’re sick, go get treated. Don’t act like a mad dog. biting at anyone you see!
She didn’t even care about her brother Harlan now, let alone an outsider like Daisy who hadn’t even married her brother yet.
Back in her past life, Daisy didn’t hesitate to flaunt her status as the so–called fiancée of Harlan, boldly showing off in front of Elaine and trampling on her with Bianca
Were it before, Elaine might have tolerated this so–called sister–in–law, but things were different now she was not easy to mess with anymore.
Daisy even said I was bullying Bianca and stealing from ber? With this thought, Flaine’s face turned icy, her a eyebrow “What can I steal from her! She’s just an adopted daughter with no blood ties to the Yeats family”
anger flaring up as she raised an
Daisy turned pale at Elaine’s expression, her eyes widening in disbelief. She couldn’t believe what she just heand–Elaine actually called her a dog!
Llaine! What did you just say? Say it again?” Daisy didn’t expect Elaine to start calling her out like this. After all, she was supposed to be Elaine’s sister–in–law
ly turn so bold she wondered in shock.
What happened to Elaine! How did she suddenly turn so

Chapter 19
Seeing Daisy’s furious face, Elaine smirked, feeling quite satisfied, “Aren’t you Bianca’s dog? Every time something happens, you start barking before she even says anything
“Your Daisy got really mad at the words, her face turning completely flushed.
“Elaine, stop being so sarcastic here. Aren’t you past jealous of Bianca! Even your seven brothers and your parents hate you; you deserve it, you know that?
“Oh right, your fiance, Finley, is the same; he won’t even look at you. You should reflect on why you’re so mean and why everyone hates you!” Every word Daisy said was viciously aimed at Elaine’s sore spots.
Because she knew very well what Elaine had always cared about the most–her mother’s long–term bias, the seven brothers favoritism of Bianca, and their coldness toward her, all of which had once made her heartbroken.
What Daisy didn’t expect was that having died once, Elaine no longer cared about any of them at all. Hearing Daisy’s words, she remained astonishingly calm
Seeing no reaction from Elaine, Daisy started to slander Elaine in front of everyone, genting more and more frantic. “It’s fine if you’re jealous of Blanca, but since Shawn kicked you out of the Years family, you’ve been fooling around with old men outside
“Maybe you’re even carrying someone’s baby! Elaine, how unterly pathetic of you!”
Hearing her increasingly unrestrained curses, Elaine grew impatient.
The customers in the store started looking at Elaine with weird expressions, some curious, some gossipy, and began whispering around. The girl looks quite familiar and pretty, not the type to do such things, right?”
Elaine didn’t want Daisy to ruin Grace’s mood for trying on clothes Stepping forward, she spoke gently. “You know what, Daisy? I hate it when people polni fingers at me.”
With that, she gave a snap and nearly ripped off Daisy’s fingers, sweet–talking while doing the most ruthless deeds.
Shrieking. Daisy turned pale instantly, completely not expecting Elaine to go all out on her
With a terrined gaze at Elaine, Daisy saw her smiling carefreely, her already radiant face becoming even more striking, which sent a chilling shiver down Daisy’s spin
Dreadful pain shot through her fingers as she wondered, ‘Was Elaine going nutsh
Elaine smirked again–yep, she was about to go nuts again.
She had nothing more to fear now. “You were quite chaty a moment ago, huh? Just go on. I’m all cars.”
Beaten to the point of agony, Daisy could barely speak, only shooting Elaine hateful glances.
Elaine sneered coldly, tightening her grip and
saying leisurely, “Gurss your mom didn’t teach you right. Well, let me do it for her.
She wasn’t planning to bother with Daisy, but seemed like this chick got all froggy-
With that, Elaine shoved Daisy’s head into the basin nearby.
The sheer ruthlessness scared the verbal–abusing Daisy stiff, frantically begging for help like a possum amputated.
“Ah-” she screamed. It hurt like hell.
But Elaine wasn’t giving her any time to react, ducking her head into the water.
