Chapter 58
Under the watchful eyes of netizens, Elaine and Finley finally crossed paths. Standing next to Finley was Bianca, the entertainment industry’s celebrated beauty, who was striling gracefully, as if anticipating the drama that would unfold.
For the audience, both online and in the ballroom, this potential showdown was thrillingly chaotic–pure scandal in the making.
Finley hadn’t expected that in just a few months, Elaine could have changed so dramatically. Today, she was breathtakingly beautiful. The dress, though better suited for Bianca, enhanced Elaine’s elegance, making her appear almost otherworldly.
His throat tightened as he looked at her, realizing he’d never truly understood this woman.
To him, their months of estrangement were nothing more than a prolonged argument. Now, with her standing before him, it felt like a perfect opportunity to reconcile.
All she had to do was speak first, and he’d let bygones be bygones.
Clearly, Martin and the group of friends around him shared the same sentiment. They whispered loudly into Finley’s ear.
“Look, Finley, Elaine’s walking over here. She’s all dressed up, wearing the dress you picked for her. Come on, man, don’t hold a grudge over that trending topic incident.”
“Exactly! Just patch things up already.”
The group was even ready to cheer them on, hoping to lighten the mood and bring them back together.
Around the room, the city’s elite subtly turned their attention toward the trio. It seemed everyone had heard whispers about this love triangle.
The story was simple enough: Elaine had long adored Finley, often seeking his company. While Finley didn’t explicitly reject her, he never showed much interest either. His heart, they assumed, still belonged to Bianca.
Everyone watched, waiting for Elaine to take the first step and speak to Finley.
“Elaine!” Martin began, calling out to her as she approached.
But before he could finish, Elaine’s eyes lit up.
Holding the hem of her dress, she gracefully walked past Finley without so much as a glance in his direction.
She had spotted Kingsley.
-Kingsley, standing tall and commanding attention. To her,
The moment Elaine entered the ballroom, her eyes sought him out, and there he was- everyone else faded into the background.
Their gazes met, and an unspoken understanding passed between them.
Finley’s smile froze mid–air.
Elaine didn’t look at him, not even for a second. Like the leading lady in a movie, she elegantly approached Kingsley, holding her skirt in her hands.
Martin stood there, dumbfounded
What was happening?
Elaine paid no mind to the stunned crowd behind her. Her eyes were fixed solely on Kingsley. To him, her radiant smile was like sunlight breaking through the clouds.
Even the cold edge in Kingsley’s expression softened at her presence.
“Kingsley,” she said, her voice sweet and delicate.
Kingsley’s towering figure made Elaine seem petite by comparison. The contrast between his dark suit and her white embroidered gown added an air of intimacy, as if they were in a cinematic slow–motion scene.
“Mm Kingsley responded, his deep voice laced with warmth.

Chapter 58
Netizens watching the live stream felt their hearts race. The scene was mesmerizing–too perfect to be real.
Kingsley bent down slightly, lifting the hem of Elaine’s dress, and offered his hand. Together, they ascended the staircase, their chemistry palpable.
The group of friends, who moments ago had been preparing to tease Finley and Elaine, stood frozen in place.
Kingsley’s face was unfamiliar to them, though his aura spoke of wealth and power.
“Wait a second,” Martin muttered, his eyes narrowing. “Is that… Kingsley?”
“Kingsley?” Finley repeated, his tone sharp with irritation.
He’d never heard of this man before. But today, Elaine had looked at Kingsley like he was a treasure, her eyes sparkling as she walked toward him. And she had smiled–truly smiled.
“Yeah, Kingsley. Boynton’s business legend. He was on the cover of a magazine once,” Martin replied, a trace of disbelief in his voice. “No way… Has Elaine moved on? Is she done chasing after you and going after this guy instead?”
“Kingsley’s even harder to pursue than you, Finley,” another friend added, only to quickly backtrack when he noticed Finley’s darkening expression.
“Enough. Shut up, someone else said hastily. “Elaine and Finley have a marriage arrangement. She wouldn’t just go after another man. That’s ridiculous.”
“Marriage arrangement? Please. It’s just a childhood promise, not an actual engagement,” Martin muttered before realizing Finley’s glare had turned murderous. He wisely chose to remain silent.
Finley, ever proud, wouldn’t confront Elaine about her relationship with Kingsley. Instead, he took a glass of champagne, his grip tighter than
necessary.
Bianca, having observed the entire scene, was equally shaken.
So that was Kingsley.
How did Elaine know him?
Kingsley was certainly an impressive man, a self–made success story in Boynton. But his reputation was mixed, and Bianca had never considered him a viable target.
Yet she couldn’t deny his presence was striking. The rumors were true–Kingsley was unforgettable, a man whose mere presence commanded
attention.
Meanwhile, the internet was in chaos over this unexpected twist.
“Whoa! Somebody hand me a crystal ball. Elaine ignored Finley AGAIN. This is next–level character development.”
“Is Elaine really moving on? Good for her! Let’s be real, Finley wasn’t worth the effort.”
“Not sure if she’s actually into Kingsley, but that guy’s back was enough to make my jaw drop. Imagine his face!”
“This is so inspiring. Elaine didn’t just move on–she traded up! Kingsley is a total upgrade. Can you even blame her?”
A few journalists present hesitated to focus their cameras on Kingsley. Word was, the man despised being in the public eye. One careless shot could mean trouble.
As the buzz reached fever pitch, Tracy arrived at the gala, accompanied by Shawn and Trevon.
