Jepson suddenly chuckled and said coldly, “Elaine, is this your way of getting back at me?”

Sharon caught on quickly. “Elaine, wait a minute–are you planning a comeback!”

“I might as well produce it myself. So, I turned them down. But the Yeats family is relentless; they keep pestering me, hoping I reconsider. I feel like they’re determined to have it their way”
“What the luck! Sharon cursed.
She did not expect such a thing to happen.
“It makes sense they’d want The Sovereign, Elaine remarked lightly. “Bianca wants to transition out of idol dramas, and the lead role in The Sovereign is exactly the kind of character that’s trending right now. If done well, it could easily become a hit.”
Sharon smirked. “But if you’re the one filming it instead, won’t the Yeats family lose their minds? I doubt they ever imagined that the author behind this novel is actually you. What a twist!”
Elaine waved a hand dismissively. “That has nothing to do with me. I’m just producing a drama that others happened to want–what’s wrong with that? Whether or not I sell the rights is entirely my choice as the author of the novel.
