Her gaze was venomous as if she wanted to tear me apart.
I gently placed a hand on my belly and said calmly, “Vivian, you still don’t understand… No one can steal another’s life. The life you live is the one you choose for yourself.”
With that, I turned and walked away.
As I stepped out into the hallway, I saw Cedric waiting for me at the exit.
I walked up to him and asked, “Have all the fees been settled?”
He nodded, reached out to support me, and guided me forward.

He stopped in his tracks and looked at me with warmth in his eyes.
