.
As soon as he spoke, the hoarseness of his voice surprised not only me, but even himself.
“I’ve done too many things, which one are you referring to?” he asked.
I just yawned, and Samuel’s expression inexplicably became uncomfortable.
“Who did you go to see last night?“@
His tone made me very uncomfortable, like I was being interrogated. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes and replied indifferently.
“It’s none of your business.”
Just as I was about to ignore him and return to the bedroom, Samuel coldly called out to me.
“Natalie, this is my final warning to you. Don’t let your friend harass Emily. My patience has its limits.”
At that moment, I immediately understood what he was referring to.
Sarah has a business relationship with Samuel’s company.”
The other day, to help me vent my anger, Sarah scolded Emily, who had no work ability, in front of many employees, making her cry and almost get hit by a car when she ran out of the company.
In this regard, I have only one comment.
“Isn’t it normal for a mistress to be condemned by everyone?“>
I looked at Samuel’s suddenly darkened face and continued.
“Not only you, but my patience also has its limits. This house was the pre–marital property you bought for me.”
“I’ll have someone come to change the locks at 3 o’clock this afternoon. You better pack up your things and never show up again.“}
With that, I walked back to the bedroom and slammed the door shut.
When I came out to get some water later, Samuel had already left in anger.“]
The next day, Sarah excitedly informed me that there would be a long–awaited university reunion next Saturday.”
Initially, I wasn’t planning to go, but under Sarah’s assurance that Samuel definitely wouldn’t be there, I eventually decided to attend.
Ironically, on the day of the reunion, as soon as I entered the banquet hall, I came face to face with Samuel and Emily.
Back then, Samuel and I, a perfect couple, had a grand wedding right after graduation, known to everyone in the entire school. Now, in front of our former classmates, he let Emily hold his arm and chatted with many professors who had taught us.
He was clearly announcing to the world that we were no longer the envy of everyone as the perfect couple.]
Emily occasionally looked provocatively at me, with an air of smugness.
Seeing this, several former female classmates who weren’t particularly friendly to me came over, showing sympathy and sarcasm, saying.
“Natalie, I didn’t expect Samuel to treat you like this. Back then, he was crazy about you, and all the girls in the entire college were jealous.“Z
“Yeah, Natalie, you gave your entire youth to him, and he didn’t leave you any affection.”
As they chattered and “comforted” me, Matthew, who arrived late, finally came to my side.
The former truly popular senior, Matthew, hugged my shoulders intimately in front of everyone and apologized softly.
“I’m sorry, Natalie, I was stuck in traffic. I rushed here as fast as I could, but I’m still late.”
I smiled at Matthew and said, “It doesn’t matter. I just arrived.”
As the former campus heartthrob, Matthew’s appearance immediately attracted the attention of most people.
“Matthew, are you and Natalie two together now?“}
Someone intentionally raised their voice and asked, making Matthew and I look at each other and then awkwardly lower our heads.
