She hated it when people mentioned she couldn’t have children. The reason my mother–in–law was so soft this time was that Harper couldn’t bear children!
Felix’s mother, feeling refreshed, “That’s right, if you ask me, Felix should just divorce Harper. That other woman is already carrying our family’s child.”
“Divorce? I don’t agree. Mom, I don’t want a divorce.”
Harper cried until she was a mess.

Harper took Felix’s parents to the hospital.

Ethan was frustrated, “Can’t you think about the bigger picture? You weren’t like this before.”
“Well, I was dumb before. Not anymore.”
Ethan suddenly grabbed my hand, “Nora, I’m begging you. I need you now. The kids need you, this family needs you.”
I sighed, “As a daughter–in–law, I should take care of my mother–in–law.”
Ethan was delighted, “I knew you were the most obedient.”
But the next day, Ethan saw Grace taking care of his mom in the hospital room.
So when Ethan’s colleagues from school came with gifts to visit, they naturally also saw Grace.
I appeared in the hospital room with a smile.
“Everyone’s here, thank you for coming.”
“Sister–in–law.”
“Sister–in–law.”
I waved my hands, “No, no.”
I sighed, “As a daughter–in–law, it’s my duty to care for my mother–in–law”
Ethan was thrilled, “I knew you were the most compliant.”
But the next day, Ethan found Grace taking care of his mother at the hospital.
So when Ethan’s colleagues from school came bearing gifts to visit, they naturally met Grace too.

I walked into the hospital room with a smile.
“Thank you all for coming.”
“Sister–in–law.”
“Sister–in–law.”
I waved my hands, “No, no.”
I pulled Grace, who looked stunned, aside, “This is your new sister–in–law, Grace. She’s already three months pregnant. I rushed through the divorce with Professor Ethan to avoid this child being wronged, so you don’t need to call me sister–in–law anymore.”
Silence filled the room as everyone’s eyes shifted between Ethan and Grace.
Grace’s eyes turned red instantly.
Ethan’s face darkened amidst the awkwardness.
Without waiting for Ethan to explode, I turned and left the hospital room.
Ethan followed me out, “What do you want? Are you really happy to see me embarrassed?”
I stopped, “Ethan, you said you were just chatting with Grace. Well, that chat must have been something, because now she’s pregnant.”
Ethan’s expression changed, glaring at me through clenched teeth.
“The day after tomorrow is the deadline. If you don’t want to ruin your future, just go with me to sign the divorce papers.”
“Fine, just you wait, but don’t expect to have any of the kids.”
I paused, turning to look at him.
Ethan saw me stop and looked at me smugly, as if to say, “You can’t win against me.”
I left without a second glance.
On the day of the divorce, Ethan brought the two children to the venue.
Besides him stood Grace, visibly pregnant.
Logan, acting mature, supported Grace, “Mom, be careful.”
“Logan is such a good boy.”
I sneered, showing no emotion.
I’d suffered enough because of these two kids in my past life, and looking at them now, I felt nothing.
Ethan said, “I’m here today to let you see the kids for the last time. You’ll never see them again.”
“Alright.”
Ethan seemed unwilling, asking, “Are you really not going to try to stop this? If you apologize, I might not divorce you.”
Grace nervously clung to Ethan’s arm.
I chuckled, “Saying that in front of your new wife isn’t very nice, is it?”
Ethan and I finally completed the divorce procedures.
The moment I got the divorce papers, I cried tears of joy.
Ethan stood aside indifferently, “It’s too late to cry now.”

He quickly moved out.
The house suddenly felt spacious.
I hired a cleaning service to tidy up every corner and threw away all the clothes my in–laws couldn’t part with and the recyclable items collected at home.
