Chapter 30 – A Rescue Wedding Mission
Ciara’s Pov
“Zaverio!” I screamed into the phone, my heart pounding in terror. “It’s Tony! He-”
A sharp jolt cut me off. Tony slammed the brakes so hard my head snapped forward, hitting the seat. My phone. slipped from my grasp, landing somewhere near my feet. A wave of dizziness washed over me, and before I could react, Tony sighed and reached down.
“Always making things difficult, aren’t you?” he muttered, picking up my phone. He gave it one glance before tossing it out the window. “We could’ve just driven peacefully, Clara. No fighting. No screaming. But no, you had to go and make me mad.”
I swallowed hard, forcing my body to move despite the lingering disorientation. “Tony, please,” I started, my voice shaking. “You don’t have to do this.”
He clicked his tongue and reached into the glove compartment. I barely had time to react before he grabbed a roll of duct tape and yanked my wrists together.
“No!” I thrashed against his hold, but he was stronger. I kicked at the car door, trying to escape, but Tony quickly overpowered me.
“Stop fighting, Ciara.” His voice was eerily calm as he tied my wrists together. “It’s already done.”
Tears burned in my eyes as the car started moving again. My heart pounded so loudly I could hear it in my ears. Where was he taking me?
The car came to a halt in front of an abandoned warehouse. My stomach dropped. The place looked cold, empty -like a grave waiting to be filled.
Tony got out first before pulling me roughly from the car.
“Tony, please,” I begged, my voice barely above a whisper. “You don’t have to do this.”

He ignored me, dragging me forward. The heavy doors creaked open, revealing a dark, empty space. except we
weren’t alone.
A slow, taunting laugh echoed from the shadows.
“I told you it wasn’t over,” Hailey’s voice rang out as she stepped into the dim light. Her lips curled into a wicked smile.
I froze. My stomach twisted in horror.
“You planned this,” I breathed,
I froze. My stomach twisted in horror.
“You planned this,” I breathed.
She smirked. “Of course I did.”
“You got yourself arrested… just so you could break out and come after me?”
Hailey crossed her arms. “I had to make sure I had the perfect plan. And now, here we are.”
“Please,” I pleaded. “I’ll give you whatever you want. Just let me go.”
Hailey’s grin widened. “I don’t want your money, Ciara, I want your life.”
A shiver ran down my spine.
Tony scoffed beside me. “And I want my life back,” he said bitterly. “I lost everything because of you.
I snapped my head toward him. “You lost everything because of yourself, Tony. You and Hailey hurt me. You deserved to be in jail!”
His expression twisted in anger. “And now you act like you’re self–righteous? Like you’ve never done anything wrong?”
I clenched my fists. “What do you want from me?”
Hailey’s eyes gleamed. “I already told you. I want everything you have.”
I flinched. I turned back to Tony desperately. “You said you wanted my forgiveness. If that was true, why are you doing this? Why are you helping her?”
Tony let out a dark chuckle. “Oh, now you want to talk about forgiveness? Where was this energy when I was on my knees, begging?” His lips curled into a sneer. “You didn’t listen then So now, I’m doing what I should’ve done a long time ago.”
I shook my head frantically. “Tony, please. I’m pregnant.*
e in an instant
His eyes flickered with something–shock, hesitation–but it was gone in “You’re the Salvador heiress,” he muttered. “You’ll help us get our lives back” Hailey rolled her eyes. “Enough talking. She’s not leaving this place alive.”
I sucked in a sharp breath as she pulled out a gun.
“Wait-
A loud shot echoed through the warehouse.
I braced for pain… but it never came.
Tony staggered in front of me, clutching his chest. Blood bloomed across his shirt.
Hailey’s eyes widened in horror. “Tony?”
He let out a weak chuckle, his body swaying. “I… I didn’t mean for you to kill her,” he rasped. “I just wanted my life back.” He looked at me then, his lips parting. “I’m sorry, Ciara.”
And then, he collapsed.
For a second, everything was silent
Hailey let out a shriek, dropping the gun.

The warehouse doors burst open, and suddenly, Zaverio was there, gun raised. Police officers stormed in behind him
“Get down!” one of them shouted.
Hailey barely had time to react before they grabbed her, slamming her to the ground.
Zaverio rushed to me, his hands cupping my face. “Are you hurt?”
Tears streamed down my cheeks. “Tony-”
One of the officers checked him before glancing up. “He’s dead.”

I buried my face in his chest, sobbing.
After everything… it was finally over.
Two days later, I stood in front of the mirror, staring at my reflection.
A new dress. A new beginning.
Zaverio appeared behind me, his hands resting on my shoulders. “Are you sure you still want to do this?”
I turned to face him, my heart swelling with love. “I want nothing more.”
A soft smile played on his lips. “Then let’s go have our fairy–tale ending.”
The wedding was everything I had ever dreamed of.
Soft golden lights twinkled above us, casting a warm glow over the guests. Flowers lined the aisle, their scent filling the air.
And at the end of that aisle… was Zaverio
I walked toward him, my heart pounding.
When I reached him, he took my hands, his eyes shining with emotion.
As Zaverio slid.the ring onto my finger, I knew…
This was only the beginning.
