Chapter 13
When Margot saw the message was from Cecelia, her heart skipped a heat. She hadn’t expected Gecelia to move this fast. She was dying to open the picture.
And sure enough, everything was coming together. She finally had solid proof that Joanna was guilty. She smirked, thinking. ‘Guess she can’t talk. her way out of this one.”
But she still needed more evidence–she wanted to hit Joanna hand, knock her down for good, and make sure she’d never have a chance to get back up. She thought. Then let’s see how she manages to keep up her act”
A smog grin spread across Margot’s face. She had been pushed around by Joanna for so long, and it had eaten at her. This time, though, she was going to have the last laugh, bring Joanna down, and show her who was really in control.
Theodora, noticing the look on her face, asked, “Margot, did something good happen?”
“Yeah, just wait. You’ll see soon enough, Margot said confidently.
“Alright.” Theodora nodded, already guessing it had something to do with Joanna.
Margot glanced at the documents in her hands and gave a small, satisfied smirk. This time, for who she really was. She couldn’t wait to see what would happen next.
After they finished their meal, the two of them left right away.
she was going to tear off Joanna’s mask and expose her
Originally, Margot had given Joanna five days to complete the designs, but Joanna finished them in just three.
Joanna had Britney reach out to Margot to come by and take a look at the designs–see if any changes were needed.
Margot could barely contain her excitement. She had been waiting for this moment, and now the show was finally about to begin. She couldn’t wait to watch how Joanna could try to hold her head high after this.
She brought her assistant along as they headed over.
were already waiting in the conference room.
Joanna and her team were
Sirena, who had claimed she was there to learn, was actually just looking forward to seeing how Joanna would be embarrassed by Margot,
The money in this industry didn’t come easy, and the demands were overwhelming. It was a pressure–filled environment.
Sirena knew this all too well, which was why she had passed the hot potato of the director role onto Joanna in the first place,
Now, she couldn’t help but hope that Margot would humiliate Joanna. If that happened, she’d be next in line for the director position. She had been plotting this from the very start
Before long. Margot walked in with an air of superiority. “Mu. Osborne, I have to say, you’re impressive. You finished the designs so quickly. No wonder you’re the director!”
Joanna wasn’t naive—she could easily lear the sarcasm in Margot’s words.
She responded calmly. “You’re too kind, Miss Caldwell. Please, take a look and let me know if you’re satisfied”
As she spoke, she handed the sketches over to Margo
Margot pretended to eagerly accept them, but in reality, she had no high expectations. After all, in her mind, Joanna was just a nobody who had Dever received any formal training She thought. How could someone like that possibly create something worth admiring!”
Hernly reason for having Joanna design the clothes was to embarrass her. The thought of finally getting to crush Joanna beneath her heel made her giddy with excitement.
When she looked at the sketches, however, she free for a moment. There was a flicker of surprise in her eyes, but she quickly masked it, trying to regam ber usual composure.
Joannu, having noticed
reaction, stayed calan and composed. She was watching closely, waiting to see how Margot would react. Internally, Margot was stunned, the never would’ve imaginest that Joanna could design something so beautiful.

Chapter 13
This was, without a doubt, the most stumming design Margot had ever seen. The style was minimalist, but far from simple–innovative, with flawless curves that were both elegant and unique, completely breaking away from the usual cliches. She was instantly taken with it.
But she refused to believe that Joanna had the ability to create something like this. There was no way she had designed it.
When Joanna saw that Margot was silent, she asked. “Miss Caldwell, what do you think?”
Margot hesitated for a moment before deliberately responding, “Who designed this?”
“Of course, it was the, Joanna said, furrowing her brow, her voice firm
Sirena had already been eyeing the design, eager to see how Joanna would handle this. After all, she’d been brought in from outside the company. with a questionable relationship with Philip. She thought. How could someone with such connections possibly be a professional designer?‘ Sirena assumed the design would look like something an amateur might make–something that would be more embarrassing than impressive. When she heard Margot’s s
́s question, Sirena leaned over to get a better look at the design.
As soon as she saw it, she gasped. “Ada”
Margot’s patience was wearing thin. “Ada? What are you talking about?”
Margot thought. ‘Is this company really as great as people say? It’s all so chantic
Hut of course, Margot wasn’t familiar with the fashion world, so it was understandable she wouldn’t know,
Sirena excitedly explained, “Ada is a legend in the fashion industry. She won a gold medal at the International Fashion Competition and even designed for the royal family!
“After that, she vanished from the scene. Some say she got married, others think she just ran out of inspiration and retired. But who would ve thought we’d get to see her work again?”
Sirena was a huge fan of Ada, so she knew everything about her. She’d studied Ada’s style thoroughly.
And this design! It had Ada’s signature all over it. Anyone familiar with her work could spot it immediately–it was unique and impossible to imitate
Joanna was momentarily stunned. She hadn’t expected Sirena to notice.
Yes, her designs had their own distinct style. The sketches contained subtle details that were her own, but she never imagined anyone would pick up on them. To her surprise, she had a fan who recognized them
Joanna smiled inwardly, amused.
But Margot daln’t care about any of that All she had heard was one thing this design was Ada’s, not Joanna’s. She thought. And how dare Joanna copy a master’s work? It is utterly shameless!
No wonder, the thought. Joanna
genius? The gossip is too good to pass up
all now–climbing her way into a high position with Mr. Menzie. And now she is stealing from a design
“Ma. Osborne, I’m truly impressed today Margot said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “If you don’t have the ability to take my order, just say so. There’s no need to plagiarize. It only makes you look pathetic”
Joanna couldn’t help but laugh, though it was tinged with annoyance. “I didn’t plagiarize. This design is mine.”
“Are you seriously claining you’re Ada?” Margot sneered
“Does it really matter if I’m Ada?” Joanna replied coolly. “This design was created by me. All you need to do is tell me if you’re satisfied. If you’re not.
Joanna didn’t want to reveal her true identity. She was worried it might cause unecessary complications.
Tounot satisfied, Margot shot back. “I won’t acce a plagiarized design. It’s beneath me
“Mass Caldwell,” Joanna said, her four ty. “You’re welcome to dislike my design, bau you will not insult my integrity. If you’re this kind o have no interest in working with you. Please leave
