Chapter 101
Edward Roscente huffed, “Of course, you can’t argue your way out! Because you simply have no argument! And you, still want to covet my…”
Sophia was speechless, even moving the cushion aside. He reached out, trying to calm him down, “Grandpa, you really misunderstood. There is nothing between Gary and me!”
Amidst the chaos of Edward’s angry shouting, Gary’s desperate denials, and Sophia’s helpless explanations.
A low, magnetic, and earnest voice broke the chaos-
“Grandpa, the one who coveted wasn’t him, it was me.”
This voice successfully halted the chaos at the scene.
The three of them turned their gaze sharply in the direction of the voice.
The man sitting on the sofa, elegant and noble, his face cold as an immortal yet dignified and serious, stared unblinkingly at Mr. Roscente with eyes as deep as obsidian.
Mr. Roscente was shocked.
Mr. Roscente was livid.
What… was he saying?!
Edward’s action of grabbing his cane to hit Gary was paused as he stared at Tristan.
He widened his eyes, took a moment to find his voice, shocked and dry: “Tris, what did you say?”
The one coveting his precious granddaughter, was Tristan?
Even if… he had just considered it for a moment, even if Soph wanted to find a husband, it should be someone like Tristan.
But it didn’t mean, he could truly accept Tristan coveting his precious granddaughter!
Edward immediately found it impossible to maintain a carefree attitude towards Tristan Yeats.
His face darkened, his gaze carrying a hint of warning–You better swallow the rest of your words, or else, I’ll turn hostile!
Tristan’s expression remained unchanged as he slowly stood up. With a noble and upright posture, and an earnest demeanor, he repeated clearly, word by word, “Grandpa, the one who covets Soph is me.”
Mr. Roscente was completely stunned.
His fingers snapped as he clenched the ring, his eyes widening in anger as he glared at him, “Soph? Is that a name you can call her? When, when did you start… having a crush on my Soph!?”
He then turned his head to glare at Sophia.
He had specifically not let his precious dress up nicely, letting him stay in such casual home attire without makeup, how could this still be love at first sight?
Faced with his fierce gaze, Tristan remained unperturbed, maintaining the demeanor of a junior, and slightly curled his thin lips, “Grandpa, I wish to fulfill the marriage agreement made between our families back then.”
“Marriage, what marriage…?!”

Chapter 101
Mentioning the marriage agreement, Edward Roscente was first stunned, then felt a bit guilty.
Indeed, he had personally set this marriage agreement with Andrew Yeats in the name of their two families.
If Tristan were to take out the token from the engagement back then now, he really couldn’t stop him.
But…

Suddenly remembering something, he said confidently, “What marriage agreement? Tristan, let me remind you, four years ago, it was you who personally came to my home and dissolved the marriage agreement between our families. We haven’t had that agreement since four years ago!”
Back then, Xandra pestered Tristan as soon as she turned eighteen, insisting on fulfilling the marriage agreement on behalf of their family.
Tristan, overwhelmed by her persistence, rushed to their family and canceled the marriage agreement.
So…
The two families no longer had a marriage agreement.
Tristan could no longer use the name of the marriage agreement to try and claim his precious cabbage!
Now, in Edward’s eyes, Tristan was nothing but a thief trying to steal their family’s treasure!
Edward Roscente had never found any moment when Xandra looked so pleasing to the eye.
Fortunately, Xandra caused such a scene.
Tristan could not dream of using the marriage contract between the two families to bind his beloved granddaughter!
Thinking of this, he gave Tristan a smug smile, “Tris, you know, our family despises people who are fickle. Since you -personally broke off the marriage contract between the two families before, now… don’t say you’ve changed your mind, because our family will never accept that.”
Gary panicked.
That’s right!
Four years ago, Tristan personally sought out Mr. Roscente break off the marriage contract between the two families.
But that was because… the person to be married at the time was that parasite, Xandra!
If only they had known earlier that his little sister–in–law was the seventh miss of the Roscente Family, Tristan would never have done something so foolish back then!
Who would have thought that the usually shrewd Tristan would have a day of miscalculation.
At this moment, Gary didn’t even have time to complain about the grievance of being wronged by Mr. Roscente. Anxiously, he nudged Tristan’s arm, winking and gesturing.
What should we do now?
Without that marriage contract.
How could Tristan marry his little sister–in–law?
Seeing Mr. Roscente’s look of having his treasure snatched away, it was completely impossible for Tristan to start from Mr Roscente side.

However, Distan still maintained his unhurried, calm demeanor, the smile on his thin lips deepening as he spoke with dignified elegance, “Grandpa, I never said that I wanted to break off the marriage contract with your family’s daughter”
Adward’s smug smile froze instantly, too angry to notice the emphasis in ‘Tristan’s words on “your family’s daughter“, and he retorted in anger, “histan Yeats, stop pretending! Hack then, it was you who personally..”
“Grandpa, I clearly stated at the time… my fiance will not be Xandra.” Tristan Yeats spoke leisurely, with a slight smile, “My exact words were, if the Roscente Family chooses Nandra for the engagement, then the engagement between the two families will be nullified.”
Edward choked, his white beard trembling with anger, “Then, then you did say to annul the engagement! And the our family set for the engagement with your family is Nandra!”
person
“Grandpa, you are being unfair” “Tristan’s voice was clear and gentle as he met Edward’s angry gaze, smiling gracefully and politely, “Back then, when you and my grandfather arranged the engagement between the two families, it was stated that… the engagement was with the daughter of the Roscente Family, and Miss
Family, surely… Grandpa never considered her a member of the family… although she was raised by the Roscente
Edward Roscente’s expression froze.
Tristan continued to smile, “If my grandfather knew that Grandpa wanted to use an outsider to fulfill the engagement between the two families, he would surely be very sad, very upset, wouldn’t he?”
Mr. Roscente did not know what to say.
He and Andrew Yeats had served in the army together, braving life and death, and even in their old age, their relationship remained strong.
Otherwise, they would not have arranged the engagement between the two families back then..
If Andrew Yeats knew that he intended to use Xandra, who was fostered in his family, to replace his precious granddaughter in fulfilling the engagement, he might just jump out of his sickbed to fight with him..
“Surely, Grandpa is not someone who goes back on his word, right?”
I smile deepened at the corners of his lips.
