Gary felt even more puzzled and decided to catch up
with
Tristan to ask him.

He thought Tristan knew Sophia so well, he must understand what she meant. He thought she might be praising Tristan.
Gary happily caught up and repeated Sophia’s words he had just heard.
Standing at the entrance of the manor, waiting for the security to bring his car around, Tristan looked at him speechlessly.
After a few seconds of silence, he nodded, “Sophia is right, keeping you around is indeed a kind act.
Gary still didn’t get it. He got into the car, started the engine, and kept chattering away, clearly intending to keep bothering Tristan until he got an answer.
As the car started, Tristan’s gaze landed on the rear–view mirror, vaguely seeing a figure standing not far from the Roscente family’s manor. But it disappeared in the blink of an eye.
Xandra slowly awoke in the hospital, seeing the environment, she furrowed her brows in confusion.
“Miss Roscente, you’re finally awake!” Beside her was Mary’s voice, filled with surprise.
Xandra turned her head and saw Mary sitting beside her, looking at her with joy.
Mary stood up and leaned in, “Do you feel uncomfortable now?”
Xandra was breathing heavily, memories of what happened before she fainted suddenly flashed through her mind.
Her eyes widened suddenly, and she struggled to sit up, ignoring the needle still in her hand.
Mary rushed over to help her. Xandra’s throat tightened, and she asked hoarsely, “Mary, where is Tris?”
She had fainted from kneeling outside the Roscente Family’s manor. And she passed out right in front of Tristan.
As her fiancé, Tristan should have, for the sake of the Roscente Family, personally taken her to the hospital.
Mary looked away, not daring to meet her eyes. Xandra’s face turned pale, she knew everything instantly from Mary’s
reaction.
Even though she was already so pitiful, so humble, begging Tristan to have some compassion for her. Tristan was unmoved.
Even when he saw her pass out, he wouldn’t personally take her to the hospital.
‘Did I really mean nothing to him?
Was the relationship over the years just a lie? She wondered.
“Miss Roscente, Mr. Yeats is just… maybe he had an appointment with Mr. Roscente at that time, you know how much Mr. Roscente dislikes people being late. Mary, looking at Xandra’s shattered and pale appearance, hurriedly comforted her with
concem.
Xandra’s eyes lit up as she grabbed Mary’s hand suddenly, “Really? He was just afraid of making Grandpa angry, and he knew you were with me, that you would take me to the hospital, so… so he didn’t come personally, right?”
As if trying to convince herself, she murmured. “Yes! That’s right! I am Tris’s fiancée, even though he hates the idea of tying two lives together with an engagement, I am and always will be his fiancée. How could he possibly let go of me.”

“Yes, yes, Miss Roseente.” Mary now had no other choice, she had to support Xandra firmly. She had to see Xandra firmly grip Tristan’s heart, relying on Tristan to establish her place in the Roscente Family.
She held Xandra’s hand tightly, encouraging her again and again. “Miss Sophia Roscente has only been brought back for less than a month, and Mr. Roscente and the others favor her just because she has the blood of the Roscente Family.
“But in this wealthy family, the bloodline does not matter. What truly matters is how much benefit a person can bring to the family!
I’ve heard that Miss Sophia Roscente was raised in the countryside. Didn’t you say she didn’t even finish high school? With such standards, at most, she can only use such a blood relationship to hold the Roscente Family for a short period.
“Once they spend a little more time with her, Mr. Roscente and Mr. Yeats will naturally realize that she would only disgrace the Roscente Family and make them feel embarrassed!”
“The one who truly deserves to be called the Roscente heiress is, of course, you, a true daughter of the Roscente Family!”
Listening to Mary’s words. Xandra’s eyes brightened slightly.
That’s right! As a noble family, they would not let her, who was poorly educated, be the heiress of the Roscente Family.
In the world of wealthy families, everything is interconnected. Whatever Sophia said or did outside, it would eventually bring shame only to the Roscente Family.
‘After the Roscente Family cleaned up her mess several times, they would not be empathetic to her anymore.
“By that time, the Roscente Family would certainly beg me to return, to stabilize the engagement with the Yeats Family under the name of the Roscente heiress.
And Tristan…he would also realize that I am the only one fit to be his wife. Sophia is nothing to fear. She thought to herself.
Suddenly. Xandra’s phone rang, Mary quickly opened her bag and took out the phone, ‘It’s Mr. Patrick Roscente.”
At the mention of Patrick, the excitement on Xandra’s face vanished, and a trace of disgust appeared in her eyes.
But thinking about the collaboration she had with Patrick, she still reached out and picked up the phone.
She kept a cold face, but her voice was soft as she called out, “Patrick, what’s up?”
The cold chuckle transmitted through the phone into Xandra’s ears, “I thought you were capable of rivaling Sophia. But you failed, that’s all.”
That mocking laughter made Xandra look even more sullen, her five fingers gripping the phone turned pale.
But she still suppressed the anger in her heart and asked, “Patrick, what do you mean by this?”
“Guess what I just saw at the Roscente Family manor?” Patrick chuckled lowly, with endless sarcasm in his laughter.
Xandra immediately asked, “What do you mean? There was a note of concern in her voice.
“I thought I could see the lady of the Roscente Family put on a great show, proving your abilities, proving your status in the family, but in the end… it was just a joke.” Patrick clicked his tongue lightly, Tm starting to worry about our collaboration
His sarcastic tone made Xandra choke up inside. She feared that she was inferior to Sophia. And what Patrick was implying between the lines was exactly that.
Her face darkened, and she spoke in a deep voice. “What exactly do you want to say, stop beating around the bush.”

The photo, I’ve sent it to you, take a look yourself.” Patrick chuckled lightly, then hung up the call.
Soon, she saw the photo on WhatsApp.
