Sophia’s expression was a mix of complexity as her gaze flickered between Sherry, Zach, the others, and Tristan
She had this nagging feeling that while she was away, these people had struck some kind of deal with Tristan. In other words, they had betrayed her
Sophia narrowed her eyes, eyeing them warily when Tristan approached her.
He casually wrapped his arm around her slender waist, his deep eyes, softened with affection, looking down at her. “Done with your business?” he asked.
Sull squinting, Sophia eyed him suspiciously. “Spill the beans. What did you offer them?”
These people were the epitome of Virelia’s rich and rebellious elite.
It had taken her some time to deal with them initially.
“After meeting them at the last race and sharing a meal with them once before, how did Tristan manage to win them over so quickly? Sophia wondered.
Her elegant and aloof face showed her alertness. Her ears were pricked, her half–closed eyes shifting between Tristan and Sherry from time to time..
Tristan chuckled lowly, his lazy yet charming voice wrapping around Sophia like a spell. “Shh,” he whispered.
Sophia’s heart skipped a beat, her whole body trembling slightly.
Tristan’s deep, husky laugh rumbled. “It’s a secret,” he said, leaving Sophia momentarily stunned.
Her slender fingers twitched, then she pinched the firm yet elastic flesh at Tristan’s waist, squeezing it hard.
It felt good.
After a few more pinches, she looked up at him coldly. “Alright, you’ve got your little secrets on your first day, I’ll have to deduct some points from you.
Pushing away from Tristan, she walked straight toward the dining table.
For Tristan, Sophia’s pinch felt like a cat’s playful scratch.
He gazed at her intently, his deep eyes filled with a hint of indulgence and affection.
Then, he followed her steps.
After all, they were old acquaintances, and with Tristan having just mingled with everyone, the group was having a blast, eating, drinking, and making merry.
They were in high spirits, uncorking several bottles of fine wine that had been aged for years in the Raffle Hotel’s cellar. Asher felt a pang of reluctance as he watched the precious wine being served upstairs.
Henry, still in his formal attire but looking casual, stood at the entrance of the VIP corridor, watching the graceful figures of the waitstaff carrying bottles of wine up to the third floor.
He glanced toward the third floor, playing with his phone with his long fingers, a glint of interest in his eyes.
As a competent
“Hey, what a coincidence, Mr. Reed? What are you doing here? Finn had been patrolling the area subordinate and someone Sophia remembered, he naturally waited for her and her friends to finish their meal so he could

escort them out with Asher,
Finn noticed Henry staring at the waitstaff for at least five minutes. Henry smirked teasingly. “Isn’t the third floor usually off-
limits?
Finn smiled. “The third floor is not open to the public.”
“Oh? Not open to the public? So it’s open to the hosts? Finn thought to himself.
“So, the third floor is for the Roscente Family?” Henry’s interest seemed to grow.
Finn continued to laugh. “Mr. Reed, don’t put me in a tough spot. You know the first rule of the Raffle Hotel’s employee code is to ensure the privacy of all guests. I really can’t disclose that.”
“Can’t disclose? I guess I was right, Henry thought.
Henry raised an eyebrow, glanced toward the third floor again, then turned with a casual smile and walked back to his private room.
As he walked, he casually waved his hand. Thanks, I won’t push you on this.”
Upstairs were the people of the Roscente Family, the wealthiest family in Virelia.
Things just got a lot more interesting
Henry returned to his private room, where Mateo was chatting with a business partner.
Seeing his seemingly relaxed son, Mateo felt a surge of frustration.
But with outsiders present, he just glared at Henry, signaling him to sit beside him and learn some negotiation skills.
Henry, however, lazily plopped down beside them, flipped his phone with a stylish move, and turned on the screen.
He began scrolling through his phone, completely ignoring Mateo.
Mateo was taken aback and he wondered, ‘Hey, boy, if you don’t learn, you’ll regret it.”
Henry lazily looked down at the screen, which was still on the last page before he turned it off.
It was an Instagram page.
A friend had posted a series of photos with the caption. [Choose the right backer, and you’re on top of the world.]
The photos displayed opulent, luxurious hotels, with two of them being particularly familiar.
They were the entrance of the Raffle Hotel and the scene of them entering the Raffle Hotel.
The remaining photos showed extravagant private rooms, tables full of delicious gourmet dishes, and expensive wines that seemed to exude wealth just by looking at them.
In some of these photos, a few friends accidentally made it into the frame.
They were all part of the same social circle. Even if they weren’t close, they had at least crossed paths. They were all children of the top families in Virelia.
One of them was Zach, the son of the Colins family, which ranked third in Virelia after the Roscente Family and the Yeats Family. However, that wasn’t the main point.
The main point was that next to Zach was a woman in a fiery red, sexy mini–skirt, exuding charm and allure.

he had her arm around another woman, smiling brightly and clearly very close to her.

In this photo, the woman whose shoulder was being held only showed a small part of her body and a slender, delicate leg.
Her seaweed–like hair cascaded over her shoulder, revealing one languid and proud eye.
Over the past three years, Sophia had been so persistent in chasing Ethan that she had managed to squeeze into their little group. It was precisely because of this, that Henry recognized her immediately.
The woman with her shoulder held by the red–dressed woman, showing only one eye, was Sophia. Only Sophia had such charming eyes.
Henry enlarged the photo bit by bit with his finger, his gaze dark and deep.
Suddenly, he chuckled lowly and saved the photo.
He exited Instagram and opened a WhatsApp group chat that was pinned at the top, sending the photo out.
Soon, there were responses in the group.
First, everyone was shocked.
Jepson: [Henry, are you smitten and after this beauty?]
Steve: [Wow, this beauty is top–notch. What a figure, what a face. Henry, you’ve really got game. You haven’t fallen for anyone in years, and now you’ve got your eyes on such a beauty?
Calvin: [Stop with the wow. That’s Zach next to her. Henry, you’re not trying to steal Zach’s woman, are you?]
Henry didn’t respond at all. He casually scrolled through his phone, seemingly waiting for something.
Five seconds later, he finally received the message he was waiting for.
Ethan: [Where are you?]
Henry’s lips curled up as he thought, Just as I expected. Only Ethan can see through the real purpose of this photo. And yet, he stubbornly claims he doesn’t have feelings for Sophia.
Henry let out a soft chuckle and slowly typed: [You were just here, weren’t you?]
The commotion caused by Gloria and Felicity had been significant. Plus, it was the first time someone had been escorted out by the Raffle Hotel’s security.
With the news spreading, Henry naturally knew what had happened at the Raffle Hotel,
Ethan clearly realized this as well.
After a full minute of silence, Ethan finally messaged in the group. [How did she end up with Zach and the others?]
Henry: [That’s something you should know. After all, you were her fiancé for three years. If you don’t know, how would I?]
Ethan fell silent again.
The others in the group were confused by the conversation.
Her? Which her? The red–dressed beauty? How did Ethan become the fiance of that beauty for three years? Wait. Sophia!” they thought.
They were extremely puzzled and messaged: [Henry, Ethan, what on earth are you talking about?]

Henry smiled and continued typing slowly. (And I just found out they’re on the third floor.)
The others in the group were shocked.
On the other end of the screen, Ethan clenched his phone tightly, sitting up straight.
Ethan opened Henry’s photo again, enlarged it, and his gaze fixed entirely on Sophia, who was only showing one eye next to the red–dressed woman.
The third floor of the Raffle Hotel was completely off–limits to the public.
It was reserved exclusively for the Roscente Family.
Sophia not only appeared at the Raffle Hotel but had made it to the third floor.
Ethan guessed that Zach had brought her in.
Even the Colins family, one of the top ten families in Virelia, couldn’t guarantee access to the third floor of the Raffle Hotel, much less the Baker Family.
But now, Zach and Sophia were both seated on the third floor of Raffle Hotel, while Ethan had been expelled from the hotel
Realizing the stark and glaring contrast, Ethan’s face darkened incrementally, turning ashen and cold.
He clenched his phone tightly, his fingers tensing involuntarily, the tips of them turning pale.
Ethan had last gone to The Abyss for a racing event because he’d heard that Zach and his group of friends would be there.
His sole intention had been to get acquainted with the Colins family and to ingratiate himself with the Yeats family.
Yer now, Sophia, someone he had never taken seriously and had completely dismissed, had effortlessly achieved a status he could barely reach despite his best efforts.
Sophia, whom he had never taken seriously, whom he had never considered a threat at all.
She had infiltrated Zach’s circle, and while Ethan was being thrown out of Raffle Hotel, Sophia was dining on the third floor, a place that symbolized true elite status.
