Chapter 173
There was a playful, almost pitiful note in Tristan’s voice, like a strong puppy begging for attention.
Sophia couldn’t help shaking her head.
Tristan really knew how to get to her.
Her lips curved slightly, though she tried to sound indifferent. Just a second. I’m almost on the first floor.”
As soon as she hung up, the elevator doors slid open.
She stepped out
What Sophia didn’t realize was that ever since leaving the interview room and answering Trisan’s call, her mood had shifted noticeably.
Even her steps felt lighter.
The moment she walked out of the Roscente Group’s main entrance, her eyes landed on the sleek, extravagant car parked across the street.
It was impossible to miss.
The th
thing was… It was too
was too extravagant..
A crowd had subtly gathered nearby, some people discreetly snapping photos with their phones.
After all, spotting a limited–edition luxury car worth tens of millions in real life was almost unheard of
Sophia stepped forward, heading straight for the car
Instantly, every pair of eyes in the crowd shifted to her.
The onlookers–especially the young women–had been speculating about why such a high–end car was parked here and who its mysterious owner could be.
That being said, no one had dared to approach.
No matter how confident they were, no one had summoned the courage
ge to strike up a conversation.
And now, out of nowhere, Sophia was walking directly toward the car. In an instant, she became the center of attention.
The crowd took in her appearance.
Sophia’s outfit was as simple as could be–just casual college student attire. But her face. It was beyond stunning
Even compared to the countless beauties in the entertainment industry, she stood out–so breathtaking that it was impossible to look away
At that moment, the bystanders had their answer. They understood why she was the one the car’s owner had come for
Some couldn’t help but grumble in their hearts–if they had that face, they wouldn’t hesitate to approach the car’s owner either
They stared at Sophia with a mix of envy, admiration, and reluctant acceptance.
But more than anything, they were curious. They needed to see how the owner of this ridiculously expensive car would react to a girl this stunning approaching him.
And even more excitingly–when that car door finally opened, they would finally get to see what kind of man owned such a sweet ride.
The crowd buzzed with speculation, whispering among themselves as they watched Sophia make her way toward the luxury car
Just before she could reach it, the car door opened.
All slender figure emerged from the backscal.
Tristan, dressed in a perfectly tailored, high–end suit, looked every bit the model.
His sharp features softened under the golden sunlight, casting a warm glow over him. His deep, obsidian eyes locked with Sophia’s from across the street, and in that moment, they seemed to glimmer with a subtle light–like a thousand tiny stars flickering in the night.
His lips, a soft share of crimson, curled into the faintest of smiles–almost imperceptible.
expression carried a smile, ye, was dangerously alluring, pulling one with the quiet promise of something more

Even in the casualness of his movements, he exuded an air of unattainable coolness, like a Greek statue.
I was as if he h
had stepped right out of a screen or a painting, so perfectly sculpted, so unreal, that it was almost impossible to believe. The crowd froze, eyes wide in disbelief. The air grew heavier, as though they had forgotten to breathe.
So, this was the owner of the luxury car
He seemed like the p
perfect embodiment of a domineering CEO, straight out of a romance novel.
Some of the onlookers began to regret not approaching the car earlier–if they had known the owner looked like that, they would have thrown their pride aside and tried to talk to him without hesitation.
But the next moment. Tristan shattered their fantasies entirely.
As Sophia neared the car, she looked up just in time to see Tristan slowly extend his hand.
His hand, bathed in the golden light, was strikingly beautiful–delicate, with prominent knuckles and a transparency that made it seem like an exquisitely carved work of art.
Under the gaze of the crowd, without hesitation. Sophia placed her hand in his.
Then, with a gentle motion. Tristan pulled her into his embrace
As Sophia’s face pressed against his chest, she was overwhelmed by the scorching heat radiating from him, the warmth seeping into her skin.
In her ears, she could hear the steady, rhythmic beat of Tristan’s hear.
Thump, thump…
She couldn’t quite tell if the heat she felt was coming from his body or from the flush spreading across her own face
“Sof,” he muttered.
Tristan’s bow, Lazy voice fell from above, carrying his undeniable warmth, almost as if melting away any remaining fragments of Sophia’s rationality.
Sophia felt her entire body heat up, her cheeks flushing even deeper.
She pressed her red lips together tightly, trying to regain some composure. “Mmhmm… you.. let go. People are watching”
“Then let them.” Tristan’s hand tightened around her slender waist, and a smug, almost gleeful smile tugged at the edges of his cold features. “We are engaged; this is what we do now.
Sophia’s face fell, her eyes widening.
It seemed he particularly enjoyed reminding her they were “engaged”
It was as if he was eager to flaunt his claim over her, staking his ownership.
Sophia wasn’t exactly fond of being gawked at like an animal in a circus. She tugged at Tristan’s sleeve slightly, her fingers curling into a fist. Tm hungry
Tristan saw right through her, recognizing her discomfort. His deep, seductive laugh rumbled from his chest, sending another wave of heat through her.
His laugh only made her face burn hotter, and her eyes, which had once sparkled with joy, now widened in shock.
She felt on the verge of bursting into flames from sheer e embarrassment.
Before Sophia could fully lose her temper, Tristan had already released her from his embrace and opened the car door, gently guiding her inside.
With a calm, almost casual tone, he said, I’ve already booked the restaurant. As soon as we get there, we can start eating”
Sophia’s words were instantly cut off, and she found herself silenced by his thoughtful gesture.
She blinked, her bright eyes catching the light, before she bent down and climbed into the car.
Meanwhile, the onlookers who had been quietly watching couldn’t help letting out low squeals of excitement.
At the same time, a few new arrivals at The Koscenie Group
were also drawn to the scene.

“Xandra, she.. she’s with your fance again…..” said Chloe.
She linked arms with Xandra as if they were close sisters. They had watched the interaction between Sophia and Tristan.
In fact, Xandra had already noticed Sophia the moment she walked cheerfully toward Tristan’s car.
She had seen it all–the way Sophia had confidently approached the car.
And then, Tristan, eager to meet her, lud gotten out before she even reached it
Xandra watched, unable to tear her eyes away, as Tristan, with a gentle air of protectiveness, ushered Sophia into the car–into the luxurious vehicle that everyone around them had been eyeing with envy.
Kandra’s pupils narrowed, her fingers curling into a tight fist.
“Xandra, Sophia is my sister. but what she did.. that’s just purely shameless Chloe’s voice was tinged with jealousy. Her eyes were nearly red with resentment, though her face remained composed.

She continued, “At the auction last time, she flirted with Tristan right in front of you, and she even tried to get away with it, saying
now that she knows he’s your fance, she’s still shamelessly involved with him.”
