Chapter 78
“Sofi… at my place?” he asked.”
The man curled his lips, his vermilion lips glistening with brilliance.
His deep, lazy voice was deliberately lowered, eliciting a husky magnetism.
Clearly, she spoke very properly, but in Tristan’s mouth, it inexplicably gained an ambiguous meaning…
Beep-
The green light was on.
The car behind honked.
This broke the ambiguous atmosphere arising between the two,
“The light’s green” Sophia immediately turned her head to look straight ahead. I mean, I’ll drive you home first, then Ill go back home by myself, she said.
Her tone was calm, but her fluttering lashes betrayed herself.
Tristan laughed lightly, and stepped on the gas, his voice tinged with pleasure. “Yes, that’s exactly what I meant. Sofi accompanies me home, then Sofi returns to her own home before curfew,” he continued.
He paused slightly, his tone carrying a hint of boyish innocence What did Sofi think I was implying?”
Sophia was speechless.
She squeezed her eyes shut and turned to the window.
She decisively shut up, unwilling to engage in another conversation with him!
He was just.
Who said he was unapproachable, keeping people at arm’s length?
Tristan’s eyes were tinged with happiness, his slender fingers tightly wrapped around clutching the steering wheel.
It seemed, he was suppressing some surging emotions from the depths of his heart.
Afterwards, Tristan didn’t cause any more ‘trouble, obediently driving back to his own home.
Sophia calculated the time and quickly drove away without exchanging any pleasantries.
Tristan stood in front of the villa gate, in a white shirt and black trousers. He was tall and held himself gracefully. The dim yellow light at the entrance cast a glow on his otherworldly face contouring his faint smile.
Suddenly, his phone rang-
He answered.

Chapter 78
Over the phone came Gary’s flattering voice. “Tristan! I tried so hard to stop myself from going to the auction today just to make room for you and the… lady from the Roscente Family! I heard you specifically told the chauffeur not to pick you up Good for you! That was… for your date, right?
“So how is it? How’s it going? Did you manage to take her home?
“Hehehe… When will I have a sister–in–law, huh?”
Ever since he learned that his Tristan went to the auction with Sophia, Gary was itching for any updates.
Tristan looked at the now empty driveway, his deep–set hazel eyes slightly narrowed, his voice calm. “If there was any progress, do you think you could have gotten through with this call?”
“Hiss–Gary took a sharp breath and clicked his tongue. “Tristan are you unable to do it?”
Tristan squinted slightly.
Even through the phone, Gary could still feel a chill down his spine.
Gary shrunk his neck and tried to laugh it away. “Ahem… Who is my Tristan? He is the dream idol of all women in all of Virelia and even Perino! Who wouldn’t want to marry him? Not to mention, the Roscente Family… They’re close to your family from a long ago.”
Speaking of that, Gary suddenly paused. As if he was trying to grasp at straws, his voice raised a few notches. “That’s right! Your families had an arranged a marriage in your childhood! Then, if Sophia is a Roscente, then isn’t she practically your fiancée?”
Tristan’s dark lashes lowered slightly, his face still calm and indifferent, but something seemed to ripple inside him
He felt, a tingle of… joy
Fiancée.
He liked that title.
On the other end, after mentioning the engagement, Gary was evidently thrilled, twittering on. “But Tristan, you’ve refused the marriage, and you sounded so firm you upset your grandpa so much. So now if you regret it, would her family refuse?
“Um… and, that fostered one of the Roscentes… what’s she called again? I heard she went to the auction today too? Did you meet? I assume Sophia didn’t misunderstand anything, I guess? Hey, that woman is everywhere telling people she’s your fiancée.”
It was that woman, who was always talking about ‘repaying the Roscentes,” blah blah blah. She just pestered his Tristan so much that Tristan directly turned down the marriage of convenience.
But that woman clearly did not take Tristan’s refusal to heart,
There were rumors that after returning to the country, she was planning to establish a fashion design studio in the name of
Tristan’s fiancée.
it woman was back in the country.
Now that
If she spouted nonsense in front of his sister–in–law….
His Tristan… no, wouldn’t that mean his Tristan would end up alone?

Chapter 78
Gary earnestly reminded. Tristan, I know you don’t care about that wormian at all, but you still need to be careful. She is determined to have you, so if you really care about Sophia, you need to set the boundaries, otherwise… everything will be too late!”
Just as he finished….
Beep beep beep.
Gary went confused like hell.
Hey, he was worried sick about Tristan, and Tristan just hung upon him like that!
Finally, Tristan felt peace. He slipped the mobile back into his pocket, and stepped into the villa.
His expression was somber, and a dark glint flashed in his eyes.
Gary’s concern was
is not unfounded.
He was still on the long road of wooing his future wife, not even out of the beginner’s village yet.
If some troublesome woman cropped up, it would ruin Sofi’s impression of him.
Visiting the Roscente Family was urgent.
He had to fix a date to meet with the Roscentes patriarch and eliminate all obstacles that might affect his pursuit of his wife.
Sophia managed to return to the Roscente Family manor by ten–thirty.
She just entered the hall….
Edward was in his glasses, reading papers on the sofa. He sternly looked up. “Why did you come back so late?”
“I went to an auction with a friend and just got back.” Sophia stepped forward, snatching the document from Edward’s hand. “Grandpa, if you’re taking my medicine, you must go to bed on time. Do not stay up.”
Her small face was serious, her brows slightly furrowed. “I already told you before I left, you didn’t have to wait up for me”
Edward always prioritized business, and he didn’t look any angered. Instead, he maintained a dignified and solemn face, and said calmly, “There’s a young lady going out at night. If I don’t keep an eye on her, who knows if she’ll end up like last time?”
Sophia glanced down at the document and defended herself. “I promised you, Grandpa, that I’d come home on time, and 1 won’t break
my
word. You can count on me.”
