- Xandra’s fists tightened, her eyes burning with a mix of hope and expectation as she watched the three men of the Roscente family.
No matter what, Patrick was still blood of their blood.
Sure, things had gotten messy between them before, but that didn’t change the fact that Patrick carried the purest Roscente blood.
The family had only brought Sophia back because of her bloodline, after all.
If they valued blood so much, they’d have to value Patrick, too.
And Edward? He’d always been serious about family unity. After all, it was because of Patrick’s father’s power grab that he’d been kicked out of the family to begin with.
Now, Sophia was standing in front of thern, openly confronting Patrick, hitting him, and speaking to him with nothing but
arrogance.
It was like she was slapping Patrick’s father in the face.
She was stirring up conflict within the family on purpose,
Edward would be furious,
Xandra believed that Sophia had no right to challenge her.
Edward’s face darkened, his usual authority taking over as he moved toward Sophia, his steps deliberate and heavy.
Allen, usually cold and distant, furrowed his brow in concern and followed quickly behind.
Lukas, with his emotionless, unreadable expression, moved with quiet intensity. His long legs carried him forward, his eyes hiding whatever storm was brewing inside.
The three of them circled around Sophia, trapping her in a wall of imposing figures.
Even Walter, who had been standing to the side, handing Sophiah wet tissue, was quickly shoved aside by their sheer presence.
“Soph,” Edward’s commanding voice cut through the tense air. You are the heir of the Roscente family…”
Xandra’s hands trembled, her heart pounding. She’d been waiting for this. The drama, the fallout, it was all supposed to unfold right here, right now.
Edward continued, his tone firm. “This is my responsibility. You on’t need to get your hands dirty
Allen’s voice softened, the usual coldness gone, replaced with something almost tender. “My daughter wouldn’t lack manners ur grace. You remind me of myself when I was younger. But if you don’t want Patrick around, just tell me. I’ll have security throw him out. Why would you have to do it yourself? Let me see your hands–are they sore from hitting him? Poor thing, let me get you
some
medicine.
Lukas, as stoic as ever, added in his deep, even tone, “If there’s anything that needs to be done. I’ll take care of it

Chapter 90
Xandra froze. Her mouth went dry, her mind spinning.
This wasn’t what she had imagined at all.
She thought, ‘Why would it be so different?
D
The three men weren’t scolding Sophia for being arrogant or violent. They weren’t chastising her for lacking the grace o
noblewoman.
Clearly, the one who was beaten and humiliated was Patrick
But instead, they were all doting on her, the one who had been violent toward Patrick:
The favoritism was so blatant, it was almost unbearable.
Xandra thought, ‘Has the Roscente family really changed so much? Are these still the same people!
Her chest twisted in frustration, the sharp bitterness almost making her gag.

Before she could even process the shock, Lukas’s voice sliced through the air once more. “Walter, please… take these two out. From now on, no one is allowed on the estate without Sophia’s say–so
Walter, ever obedient, didn’t hesitate. “Understood.”
Xandra’s face flickered between emotions–anger, desperation, confusion–as she listened to Lukas. She opened her mouth. her voice trembling, “Lukas, don’t do this to me…”
“Don’t call my name, Lukas snapped coldly, his eyes sharp and unfeeling. “We’re not close. Besides, I wouldn’t want my sister, Sophia, to misunderstand.”
The blunt favoritism Lukas showed Sophia hit Xandra like a slap to the face. She went pale, her whole body trembling as if the floor could give way beneath her at any moment.
She barely managed to whisper, “Dad…
She didn’t give up. She turned toward Allen, the only person left in the Roscente family she thought might come to her aid
But no matter how desperate her voice became, Allen didn’t even glance in her direction. Instead, his face softened with an. expression of pure affection as he doted on Sophia,
With surprising enthusiasm, he said, “Soph, I’m sure you’re starving. Let’s go to the dining room. You tell me what you want, and I’ll make it for you myself tonight. I’ll even come home early to cook.”
The words hit Xandra like a punch to the gut.
The head of the Roscente family–the richest man in.town–was going to cook for Sophia.
This was something Xandra had never even dreamed of.
Xandra thought, Why? Why does Sophia, who has just returned to the family, receive all this attention and favor?
Just because of some so–called blood ties?
Xandra’s jealousy bubbled to the surface, her eyes burning with fury.

Chapter 90
As Walter and the security guards escorted her out of the estate, he fought them, screaming for her grandfather and father
to intervene.
But it didn’t matter how much she struggled or screamed. They ignored her completely, dragging her–and a painfully clutching Patrick–out of the Roscente family estate without a second thought.
The guards showed no mercy.
They literally threw her out.
Xandra hit the ground hard, gasping as pain shot through her.
Her elegant pink designer dress, once perfectly pressed, was now crumpled from her frantic struggles.
Her hair, once carefully styled, had come loose, strands falling messily around her face and neck.
She looked like she’d completely lost control.
Her face burned with a mix of embarrassment and rage.
She scrambled to her feet, stumbling in her high heels as she charged back toward the gates, determined to get back inside.
The guards, ever vigilant, blocked her path without hesitation.
No
matter how much Xandra screamed, how many threats she threw their way, they didn’t move an inch. Not even when she was hoarse and exhausted.
“Xandra… that’s enough,” a cold voice called from behind her. Patrick’s voice, low and venomous, slithered into her ears. sending a chill down her spine.
She froze, instinctively shrinking away.
When she turned, she saw Patrick–surprisingly composed–standing next to her, his handsome face unbothered, his lips curling into a smug smile.
He was so close now she could feel his breath on her skin.
A wave of disgust and fear washed over her, but she quickly masked it with anger.
She stepped back, creating distance between them. “You think you’ve won, Patrick! I honestly thought you had some real power!”
Back at the Roscente family estate, she had been kind to him, not because she cared, but because he was her only hope of staying in the family’s good graces.
But she hadn’t expected Patrick’s father’s name meant nothing.
