Chapter 97
She smiled kindly, ‘Little Miss, as long as I am here, I’ll keep an eye on the Roscente Family for you. If you need me for anything, I’ll do it even if it costs me my life.

Xandra concealed the contempt in her eyes, then looked up towards the brightly lit center of the manor, her gaze flickering slightly.
A plan had already formed in her mind.
“Mary, I need your help tomorrow.”
The next day, at the Yeats Family.
Gary stared at the gift boxes packed full in the trunk and back seat of the black luxury car, dumbfounded, “Brother, are you going somewhere to apologize? Why have you prepared so many gifts?”
He had heard from Tristan’s assistant that all these gifts had been personally chosen by Tristan himself.
Where could these possibly be going that would make Tristan so invested?
Tristan stood by the car door, his gaze sweeping over the gift boxes but not lifting his brows, “To the Roscente Family.”
“The… the Roscente Family?!”
Gary’s eyes widened, “Going to the Roscente Family? With so many gifts? Is it because of that Xandra who was fostered and always claimed to be your fiancée? She keeps pestering you as if she’s your fiancée, so… are you afraid my sister–in–law might misunderstand and you want to personally go and apologize, asking them to cancel the marriage arrangement between the two families?”
His voice was sharp, like a screaming marmot’s.
His eyes were shining as he looked at Tristan.
Tristan was speechless.
He gave Gary a look that was a bit hard to describe.
That look seemed to say – should you perhaps have your brain checked?
Gary hadn’t noticed the pity look in his brother’s eyes, and continued to exclaim in shock, “Ahhhh, brother, you really love her! If sister–in–law knew how much you love her, she would be moved to tears!”
Saying that, he excitedly sat in the driver’s seat, “Let’s go, brother, to her family, let’s go break off the engagement!”
Tristan said, “…Forget it, I’ll drive.”
He feared that if Gary drove, they might end up in a car crash!
How did he make it this far in life?
Gary was confused.
Did he say something wrong?
Facing the indescribable look from his brother, Gary’s mind suddenly buzzed, like a ray of light bursting through the fog.

Chapter 97
The excited voice instantly came to an abrupt halt.
Wait, wait…
The Roscente Family!
That’s right! The Roscente Family!
His sister–in–law is a member of that family!
The one engaged to his brother is the Roscente Family’s daughter!
Previously, there was no Sophia, only Xandra, so everyone assumed that the engagement was between Xandra and Tristan.
But now…
There is Sophia!
Sophia is from that family.
And Sophia is his brother’s fiancée, his rightful sister–in–law.
What does Xandra have to do with any of this?
Now his brother is heading to her family, and it’s clearly for his sister–in–law!
Ahhhh!
Is he about to witness with his own eyes the imminent good news between them?
Gary exclaimed excitedly as he plopped down in the driver’s seat, “Let’s go, let’s go, let’s quickly head to my sister–in–law’s family to propose and bring her home soon!”
The words “bring her home” brought a faint smile to Tristan’s eyes.
He glanced at Gary, opened the car door, and got in.
Gary maintained an enthusiastic attitude, gripping the steering wheel and stepping on the accelerator, “Brother, sit tight. Your ride with DiDi Gary is dedicated to serving you, ensuring a safe journey to marry my little sister–in–law!”
Tristan was speechless.
The car sped away.
An hour and a half later, the car stopped in front of the gates of the Roscente Family Manor.
The two got out of the car.
The security guards immediately approached to confirm their identities and parked the car for them.
Gary huffed and puffed as he moved all the gift boxes from the car and back seat in piles before finally handing the car keys to the security guard.
Looking at the gift boxes piled on the ground, almost drowning the two of them, Gary sighed once again, his brother really put a lot of effort into this for his sister–in–law.
He called the security guard to help him carry these gift boxes.
They were about to walk into the estate.

Out of the corner of his eye, he suddenly noticed something in a certain direction, his steps halted, and he looked closely,
He saw a slender figure kneeling not far to the left of the Roscente Family Manor.
That spot was quite conspicuous.
Almost as soon as one entered the estate, their gaze would fall on that spot.
A woman in a lotus pink long lady’s dress was bowing her head, yet kneeling upright, as if strong and unyielding.
Her beautiful wavy hair was a bit messy, hanging loosely at the back of her head, with a few strands falling to her cheeks, making her appear even more… filled with emotions of despondency, sadness, and loneliness.
She was almost on the verge of collapse from kneeling, her face showing a pale, shattered expression.
Gary couldn’t help but click his tongue, quickly rushing over to Tristan with two gift boxes in hand, and nudged Tristan with his elbow, “Bro, look over there.”
Tristan stood at the entrance of the manor, his brows slightly lowered, with a cold, almost celestial face, slightly tensed.
He was nervous.
Having visited the Roscente Family manor many times, this was the first time he was this nervous.
Upon hearing Gary’s voice, he suppressed the emotions surging in his eyes, slightly raised his gaze, and followed Gary’s amused yet teasing look.
He slightly frowned, “Xandra?”
Gary tsked his tongue, with a face full of anticipation for drama, nudged Tristan again, “What’s she up to now? What era is this, still playing the trick of self–harm?”
If someone with intentions saw this.
With one photo.
This whole family would be on the hot trend!
This person, fostered in this family for over a decade, enjoyed so many of the Roscente Family’s resources, how could she still be so foolish?
Or perhaps…
Is this just her way of forcing this family?
Tristan glanced indifferently and then retracted his gaze, his expression unchanging, “Let’s go in.”
He strode towards the Roscente Family manor.
Gary, unwilling to miss such drama, his eyes gleaming with gossip, staring unblinkingly at the direction where Xandra was kneeling, whispering, “I guess she must have discovered my little sister–in–law’s identity, caused a ruckus and was kicked out by them.”
“Just a parasite fostered by their family, and yet she can’t identity herself, trying to compete for affection with my sister–in-
law?”
“Who is she performing this self–harm act for to deceive?”
He shook his head with a face full of disdain as he spoke.

Tristan’s expression remained calm, and there was not the slightest change in his complexion. Obviously, he had no interest whatsoever in Xandra’s gossip.
But, just as the two were about to step through the manor’s gate.
From over there came a hoarse and choked, hesitant voice, “Tris…”
The voice was full of lingering tenderness and sorrowful inflection.
Gary widened his eyes and forcefully nudged Tristan’s arm, conveying through his gaze.
It’s over! Tristan, this drama is aimed at you!
