Chapter 18
Tristan raised an eyebrow slightly, his gaze cool and indifferent, though there was a subtle lift to his tone. “Return from that hellhole!”
“Yeah, yeah, you have no idea. Miss & has been putting up with all sorts of nonsense in the Steward Family for three years. Zack, caught up in his own enthusiasm, continued blabbering on.
A soft cough interrupted Zack mid–sentence.
It was Sophia.
Immediately, Zack shrank back, snapping his mouth shut as his eyes darned nervously toward Sophia.
Her expression was ice–cold, her sharp gaze fixed on him with a clarity that made his throat tighten.
Zack gulped, quickly adjusting his posture and giving a nervous laugh. “Ahahaha… I thought Mr. Y must be incredibly busy. There’s no way you’d have time to party with us. Never mind. Mr. Y. you just carry on with whatever you’re doing”
Zack had hoped to get a chance to chat, imagining that maybe Miss 5 and Mr. Y might be in a good mood and, just maybe, he could slip into their
conversation.
After all, Tristan was THE untouchable bigwig–the man beyond Zack’s reach.
Even Zack’s family couldn’t get Tristan to join them for a meeting.
Zack had fantasized that if he could somehow join the dinner and snap a few pictures, maybe even film a short clip, he could show off to his family group chat for once.
But after that one deadly look from Sophia, Zack snapped back to reality.
After all, even his own grandfather and father had never been able to extend an invitation to Tristan. Compared to him, Zack felt insignificant.
Tristan, of course, was fully aware of his position. He knew exactly where he stood in the world.
But, to Zack’s surprise, Tristan’s lips curled into a faint, knowing smile. His black eyes, deep as polished jade, gleamed with a trace of light. “Miss Roseme’s celebration banquet: 1 shall not refuse”
His tone was calm, unruffled, as if he hadn’t just said something extraordinary.
But the weight of his words hit like a clap of thunder, reverberating in the still air, making every ear in the room ring.
Zack couldn’t contain his excitement and nearly burst out laughing.

They all knew how much Tristan despised these kinds of social events, so hearing him agree to attend was nothing short of a shock.
The silence was heavy, almost suffocating
Ahhhelt felt as though someone had hit the mute button on the room. No one dared to speak
As the initial shock wore off, everyone slowly started to process what had just happened, the reality sinking in.
It was hard to wrap their minds around it–Tristan, the untouchable, unbothered heir, had agreed to show up at a celebration with Miss S.
Zack’s admiration for Miss 5 surged from a casual respect to full–on worship.
Ecstatic, he quickly rallied a group of friends to prepare for the upcoming celebration banquet.
The group dispensed in a flurry of activity, buzzing with excitement over the unexpected turn of events.
Meanwhile, Sherry, who had been watching everything with interest, blinked rapidly, shifting her gaze between Tristan and Sophia. Then, her eyes lit up as if she had pieced something together. A mischievous grin spread across her face, as if saying. I get it now. I totally get it!
Without missing a beat, Sherry snatched the car keys from Sophia’s hand. “I know you don’t want your identity exposed, and with your big comeback after three years, plus that competition win, everyone will be watching Your car’s bound to attract attention. So, I’ll take it for a spin and park it for you. I’ll see you at the Abyss in a butt
Before Sophia could respond, Sherry flung open the car door and hopped in, speeding off in a blur.

Chapter 18
Sophia rolled her eyes. She knew exactly what was going on–they wanted her and Tristan to ride in the same car.
But their plan was so obvious it was almost laughable.
Now, the underground parking garage was empty, save for her and Tristan.
Sophia rubber her face with both hands before looking up at him. “My friends… they don’t have much of a filter. They tend to joke around. Please don’t take them seriously, Mr. Years.”
“Is that so?” Tristan’s eyes, dark as the deepest night, seemed to shimmer with a strange light in the bright glow of the garage.
He chuckled softly, the sound low and smooth, his features as cold and perfect as a marble statue. “But what if I did take you seriously! What would you do then?”
Sophia froze for a moment, her bright eyes wide with surprise.
A mix of confusion washed over her face, as though she couldn’t quite process what he had just said.
For a brief moment, her expression turned almost adorably blank.
This version of her–stunned and speechless–was a stark contrast to the fierce, confident racer she had been on the track. It was hard not to find the sudden shift in her demeanor endearing.
Tristan’s dark eyes deepened as he watched her.
He let out a low, lazy laugh, as if nothing extraordinary had just happened, and smoothly changed the subject. “If you don’t mind would you me to give you a ride?”
Like
He leaned forward slightly, opening the passenger door of his sleek white sports car. With a subtle roll of his sleeve, he revealed a finely sculpted wrist, the pale skin glowing under the dim light.
Sophia quickly turned her gaze away. “Your will attract plenty of attention, too. Aren’t you worried about rumors about us?”
“My reputation.” “Tristan’s voice was low and a little husky, with a teasing undertone, “It’s already been deteriorating, so what do I care!”
Sophia didn’t know how to respond, so she just gritted her teeth, coming her friends under her breath.
Those fools. They’d clearly made sure to spread all the rumors about her and Tristan right in front of him,
She shook her head, vowing she wouldn’t trust a single word her friends said from now on
Sophia was sure that all those stories about Tristan being the ‘untouchable heir” or “sacred and unapproachable- they were exaggerated, just like she’d suspected.
Deciding not to overthink it, she beat down and got into the car.
Zack and his group had already cleared out, disappearing down the road. It was still a long way from the entrance of the Abyss
Since Tristan had offered to drive, rejecting him now would have been foolish
Besides, their scandal was already out in the open.
Tristan watched her settle into the passenger seat, his dark eyes following her every move. He noticed how her long lashes fluttered and how her slim figure was framed in the soft glow of the car’s interior. A faint smile curled at the corner of his lipsa knowing, almost playful expression.
He continued to observe the so–called “Take Stewart Family heiress”
girl from the countryside.

But now, Tristan could see for himself what kind of “pitiful girl” could race like a pro and make even the top leirs of Virclia’s elite society bow down to her!
This “poor little thing” was far from simple.
Awry smile tugged at the corner of Tristan’s mouth.
It seemed this charming girl had quite an interesting past.
They both got into the car and closed the door, the engine r

Chapter 18
Inside the luxury vehicle, the silence hung heavy.
Tristan drove at a leisurely pace, barely hinting thirty miles per hour as they cruised down the Abyss racetrack
Sophia glanced out the window, still feeling the rush from the earlier high–speed race. The slow pace now felt almost painfully sluggish, like watching a turtle crawl by.
She turned her head to look at the man beside her
Tristan had one hand casually resting on the steering wheel, his posture relaxed, almost lazy. His sharp, handsome profile, always composed, now carried a faint hint of case.
Noticing her gaze, he shifted his eyes slightly toward her. A low, magnetic hum rumbled in his chest, and he asked, “Hmm!”
His voice trailed off with a teasing note, creating a subtle pull in the quiet car that was almost irresistible.
Sophia felt a strange, ticklish sensation in her ears, as if his words had brushed against her skin, sending shivers down her spine.
Sophia couldn’t help thinking to herself how unfair life was
God gave Tristan endless wealth and unmatched looks.
If Tristan walked down the street, even the most oblivious passerby would lose their soul to his presence.
Sophia quickly adjusted her emotions, settling into a neutral expression. Narrowing her eyes slightly, she studied him carefully. “Mr. Yeats, you sought me out and agreed to Zack’s invitation. I’m guessing it’s not because I’m Miss 5 or because I beat you earlier, is 12′′
Tristan didn’t respond right aw
away. The smile at the corner of his lips deepened as his gaze shifted ever so slightly, focusing on her face.
She narrowed her eyes in retum, a hint of wariness creeping into her expression.
She looked almost like a feisty little kitten, cute but ready to pounce
Tristan’s lips curved into a small, amused smile. His voice, low and rich with mischief, came our deep and teasing: “You’re very clever, How about you try guessing my real intention?
Sophia’s brows furrowed immediately.

Sophia turned her head away, staring out the window and deliberately ignoring him.
