He nodded and walked over to grab the home phone to call Lukas, heir of the Roscente Family. He added casually, “Speaking of the Baker Family. I’ve heard some rumors that they’ve been targeted for the last two years or so and are struggling for funds and resources. If we stop working with them now, it’ll hit them hard, even force them into bankruptcy,”

Lukas fell silent for a moment. Grandpa had said before that one should solve the trouble he caused on his own and not involve the family”

Lukas couldn’t help but think that there had been another ‘only granddaughter before. Edward had paid no attention to her.

Edward stood up casually and said, “Whatever.”
“But Miss Xandra doesn’t know about Miss Sophia coming back yet. I’m worried that “Walter licked his lips nervously as he tried to choose his words carefully.

He’d heard rumors that people were saying Miss Xandra was the only daughter in the Roscente Family. He didn’t know how to break the news to Edward. He just hoped that Xandra wouldn’t take all the compliments too seriously and would be reasonable.
