Darnell, who was pushed aside, paused for a moment, a hint of disappointment flickering in his
eyes.
1 looked at his teary eyes and asked heavily the words that had been weighing on my mind for the past few days, “Do you still remember what I told you before we got married?”
Before getting married, I told him that if he fell in love with someone else, he should let me know, and I would make way for the other person.
But if he deceived me, I would forever disappear from his world.
Darnell nodded without hesitation, “Why are you suddenly asking about this? Did I do something wrong that made you unhappy?”
After speaking, he stood up with a serious expression and ordered the nurse behind him, “Go and call all the opposite sex who have had contact with me recently!”
In no time, my room was filled with over a dozen women, including nurses and a few maids, Nadia
included.
She touched her belly, and her eyes were filled with pride as she looked at me.
Darnell sternly commanded with his hands behind his back, “Tell me, wife, how you have been interacting with me recently, the more detailed, the better!”
“Madam, the last time I had contact with the scion was when I handed over your recent recipe.”
“Madam, the scion had me bring the tranquilizer from home to the hospital that I got to see him.”
“Madam, Mr. Guzman noticed that your drip is almost finished, so he called me to come and replace it with a new one for you.”
They reported to me sentence by sentence, almost everything was related to me, and they couldn’t help but show their envy towards me.
when it was Nadia’s turn, she said lightly, “I haven’t had any contact with Mr. Guzman since I delivered the fruit basket yesterday. Madam, please rest assured, Mr. Guzman’s heart, it’s only

I chuckled at myself and gestured for them to all go
down.
After proving his innocence, Darnell felt much more at ease. He sat by the edge of the bed and held my hand, sincerely saying, “Kyra, you know, I have only loved you in my entire life. I won’t be

gave a faint “hmm” and ignored the disappointment in Darnell’s eyes as I withdrew my hand.
Then Darnell seemed to think of something and added, “Kyra, I will be on a business trip tomorrow and won’t be able to accompany you. However, my phone will be on 24/7 for you. If you miss me, just give me a call.”
He expressed his deep affection sincerely, without a trace of insincerity.
I suppressed the discomfort in my heart and nodded in response, “Then be safe on your way.”
I caught a flash of guilt in his eyes and then heard his slightly aggrieved voice.
“But I really can’t bear to be without you, even though it’s only for one day, I don’t want to be separated from you for a single minute.”
“Once we adopted the child, we might as well hand over the company to him, so that I wouldn’t have to run around and be in a long–distance relationship with you.”
If I didn’t know that he got married to Nadia in these seven days, I would probably be moved by his
words.
Finally, Darnell reluctantly kissed my forehead and left the ward.
As soon as he left, I left the hospital. After packing up things from home, I placed a divorce agreement on the living room table and then boarded the plane to Linport.
