Braydon remained silent for a while and eventually hung up the phone.
I breathed in the fresh air abroad, as if I had been reborn.
The news of going abroad and Braydon’s divorce quickly spread among our mutual friends.
People who are biased toward me are all cursing Braydon as a scumbag, while Braydon’s group of friends is surprisingly silent.
Only Derrick was still bouncing on the Timeline, as if demonstrating their going out for drinks
together and sharing a room.
Below is Lilian’s comment “It feels like going back to childhood.”
Even if the time was three o’clock in the morning last night.
I used to be afraid of Braydon’s stomach attacks, and I would always call him immediately to persuade him to go home early. But now, I just turn off my phone and continue to immerse myself
in work.

positive to pleading.

I couldn’t tell if he was sending these messages while drunk or sober, but I didn’t care anymore.
Braydon said he wanted freedom.
Then I now give freedom back to each other.
Since they all think that Lilian is more suitable for him, it’s time for me, this malicious supporting female character, to exit the stage.
I turned my sorrow and anger into motivation and worked extra diligently. Soon, I caught the attention of the upper management in the company.
In just one month, I passed the review and officially joined the strongest research group.
At the welcome banquet, I was being teased by everyone to drink, and suddenly Trenton Gillespie from my group stood up to help me fend off the alcohol.

He was dressed in a sharp suit, with a cold expression on his face.
Because we are compatriots, he and I always feel particularly close, which can be considered as having someone to take care of each other when working away from home.
I understood all his thoughts about me, but a failed marriage made me temporarily disappointed in
love.
Just when we were having a great time, another phone call came in.
I picked up the phone, and there was a long silence on the other end.
After a while, Braydon asked hoarsely.
“Why were there men over there?”
I chuckled lightly.
“Does it have anything to do with you?”
“Yes! How come there isn’t!”
After knowing each other for so many years, I heard Braydon lose his composure for the first time. He yelled angrily, “We haven’t divorced yet, I haven’t signed the divorce settlement, I don’t want to lose you!”
“Why did you stop caring about me? Why aren’t you jealous anymore?”
“Annie, come back, I missed you, really missed you.”
“It was late.”
I interrupted his heartfelt confession, my voice still soft.
“I didn’t love you anymore.”
