Chapter 4
ooked at the wedding dress thread wrapped around my hand.
Silently wiped away the tears, my hard work went to waste.
However, it can be considered fortunate to truly see a person through a wedding dress.
Tonight is the formal family dinner where I will meet Alexander for the first time. It is important to make a good impression on him.
After I had freshened up and tidied my mood, I went to the underground parking lot.
But I saw a car shaking from a distance.
As I approached, I realized that it was Martin’s Maserati.
With the half–open driver’s seat window, Martin held Nathaly in his arms.
Nathaly’s eyes were unfocused, constantly moving up and down.
Although I had long known that Martin didn’t love me, seeing this scene unexpectedly made my
heart tighten instinctively.
Martin opened his eyes and met my gaze, a momentary panic flickering in his eyes.
The next second, he brushed aside Nathaly’s hair and passionately kissed her, as if he deliberately
wanted to provoke me.
He made the amplitude bigger and bigger, and Nathaly’s sobbing voice echoed throughout the
garage.
I lowered my gaze and turned around, getting into my car to head towards the Gibson’s mansion.
On the way, I went to get a tie gift for Alexander.
When I arrived at the Gibson family, Martin was there at the same time.
When he opened the car door, I could still see used condoms scattered on the passenger seat.
Seeing the gift in my hands, Martin initially had a somewhat embarrassed expression, which instantly transformed into a smugness of holding me in check.
“Did you buy me a gift? Let me see.”
I was afraid that he would snatch it again, so I quickly hid it behind me and said, “It’s not for you!”
Martin chuckled softly, looking as if he couldn’t be bothered to argue with me.
He exhaled rings of smoke, “You saw it just now in the garage too.”

“I knew you liked me; you couldn’t do without me.”
But I had already made it clear to you before, the wedding is for you, and Nathaly and I will register our marriage. Speaking of which, she is the one who has been wronged.”
“She was my legal wife afterward, so it was normal for us to do such things. She should
occasionally stay overnight in our marital home with you, and you will have to get used to it sooner
or later.”
“I did this for your own good.”
Even though I had long decided not to marry him, I never expected him to shamelessly display himself in front of me like this.
I turned around to leave, but he grabbed me again and said, “Alexander will also come tonight. The Gibson family relies on him, so this family banquet is quite formal.”
“I also gave you enough face. After going in, if the elders ask about the marriage certificate, you just say that we have already obtained it,”
“And also, remember to apologize to the little girl for scratching her in the afternoon after attending the family banquet.
“Otherwise, before the wedding ceremony was officially held, I could have backed out at any time!”
After Martin finished speaking, he took the first step and entered the Gibson family restaurant to take a seat.
I sighed heavily, but it didn’t matter. Soon enough, he would find out who I was going to marry.
I entered the restaurant, Alexander hadn’t arrived yet, and the other elders had already taken their
seats.
I deliberately avoided Martin and sat in another seat where I could save a spot for Alexander beside
ΠΕ.
Martin saw me sit down, frowned, got up, and moved to the seat next to me.
“You’re becoming more and more pretentious. I even saved a spot for you, and yet you’re still here, putting on airs.”
I frowned and wanted him to leave, just about to say that this was the spot I saved for Alexander.
At this moment, a tall figure appeared at the entrance of the restaurant. Alexander, dressed in a high–end suit, walked in calmly and unhurriedly.
