Martin still didn’t understand, looking relaxed, “Alexander is getting married too? That’s great news! Perfect, we can have our weddings together, so our Gibson family can have a good and lively celebration!”
Drake frowned, “What nonsense are you talking about here? There is no talk of getting married together, it’s not time for you to be taken care of at home! Alexander and Aileen are the ones getting married! You child, stop causing trouble here!”
Drake raised his glass towards me with a satisfied expression and said, “I almost thought I would never see my little brother getting married in my lifetime! Aileen, this drink is for you, cheers!”
At this moment, Martin finally realized what was happening. His expression froze, and his voice trembled slightly, “Dad…you mean, you mean who is getting married!?”
Before Drake could answer, Alexander had already placed my hand on the table and looked directly at Martin, saying, “It’s me and Aileen who are getting married.”
“This is impossible! This is absolutely impossible!”
Martin suddenly stood up from his seat, his face filled with disbelief.
“You brat! What were you up to tonight!”
“What a chaos at the family banquet! Is this how you show disrespect to your elders now?”

Martin could only suppress the shock in his heart, tightly clenching his hands and sitting back
down.
Next, throughout the entire family banquet, various details regarding my marriage to Alexander were discussed.
And during this process, Martin’s gaze was always fixed on me, he didn’t even notice when Nathaly tried to coax him several times.
After the family banquet ended, when we were about to leave, I forgot to take my coat. Alexander immediately turned back to help me get it.

I looked at him in disbelief.

Blood overflowed from the corners of Martin’s mouth as he gritted his teeth, yet his face bore an unusual smile.
“Alexander, go and ask, everyone in Newwald knows her, Aileen, she used to follow me around since we were kids!”

I saw Alexander’s fist turning red and couldn’t help but ask, “Does it hurt?”
Martin’s eyes lit up with hope, but when he looked up and saw me holding Alexander’s hand, the light in his eyes completely faded.
After giving me a deep look, Martin finally left with a gloomy and unclear gaze.
Nathaly just came out and caught up with him, asking him to take her home. However, he completely ignored her as if he couldn’t hear her, and drove away alone, leaving the woman behind.

A big CEO like him usually doesn’t have time to cook for himself.
I watched as Alexander suddenly revealed a childlike side, and my heart softened.
Taking a cue from his patient demeanor towards me, I gently patted his head and said, “Alright, alright, alright. So, for the next few days, I will take care of you, okay?”
Alexander’s lips curled up with a smile, “Well then, thank you in advance, madam.”
