Book5–Chapter 1
Igot married to Zavier Ortiz.
On the day of the wedding, his first love was suspected of embezzling public funds, and Zavier unexpectedly asked me to take the blame for her.
He said, “Katrina cannot bear such a stain, you go and take it, otherwise I will make your father’s company go bankrupt.”
I was sent to prison in despair.
I suffered greatly, but I also saw Zavier’s ruthlessness and realized my own blindness in the midst of pain.
Even though he tried to make up for it later, I no longer had a trace of wavering.

On the day of my release, Zavier’s assistant was waiting for me at the prison gate. He had been instructed to take me to the hotel.
I had just arrived at the door of the room when I heard a sound coming from inside.
“Zavier, I heard that Juliana was released from prison today, so what will you do with Katrina?”
The speaker is Antony Hester, a friend of Zavier.
After a while, Zavier’s voice came out, “Her matter had nothing to do with me and Katrina.”
“Well, if she hadn’t persistently pursued and married you back then, we wouldn’t have had so much trouble. It’s all her own doing.”
I stood outside the door, my heart filled with sadness. It was Zavier who had passionately pursued me, but now it became me who was forcing it.
Perhaps this relationship was wrong from the beginning and should never have started.
I was just about to turn around and leave when I accidentally bumped into the passing waiter, causing the bag in my hand to drop and things scattered all over the floor.
The people in the room heard the noise and came out, seeing me in a disheveled state. Zavier put on a long face.
“Since you came, you didn’t even go in. When did you become so rude? After spending a few years in prison, you have even forgotten basic manners.”
he gazes of the people around me pierced me like needles. I used to be the daughter of the Hoover family, but now I have become the object of contempt by everyone.
I wanted to explain, but the habits developed in prison made it difficult for me to speak up.
Ipicked up the things on the ground with difficulty, and Katrina Abbott covered her nose and said,
“It’s really dirty.”
Zavier shielded her behind him as if I were a ferocious beast.
The watch on Zavier’s hand was carefully chosen by me, thinking that it would witness our
happiness, but now it became an iro
Katrina wore the limited edition bracelet on her wrist, which originally belonged to me, and it matched with Zavier’s watch as a couple’s set.
Seeing this scene, my heart ached as if it had been torn apart.
Go to the bathroom and tidy yourself up, see what you look like now,” Zavier said disgustedly.
The people around me looked at me with strange eyes, as if I were a sinner returning from hell.
But I was innocent. It was Katrina who was wrong, yet I had to pay for her wrongdoing.
After tidying up, I walked out of the bathroom and coincidentally ran into Zavier, who was hugging
Katrina and walking out.
“You can take a taxi back by yourself. Katrina doesn’t like having other people in the car,” he said, and without looking back, he walked away.
I had just been released from prison and was penniless. Zavier had once said that his co–pilot would always be exclusively mine, but now I didn’t even have the qualification to sit beside him.
It was very far from the city center here, and I had a hard time flagging down a motorcycle on the
way. The driver took me to the city center.
My legs were injured in prison, and coupled with long–term labor, they developed a chronic condition. Walking for a long time would cause a piercing pain.
I returned to my former home, opened the door, and heard voices coming from inside.
“Lena, try this. It’s a snack I made myself,” Katrina said as she fed Lena Ortiz the snack.
Zavier sat on the sofa, watching the scene with a smile on his face.
I limped into the living room, and the warm atmosphere was instantly shattered.
Zavier saw me, and the tenderness in his eyes vanished without a trace.
“Juliana, where have you been fooling around? You didn’t come home right after being released from prison. What’s that smell on you? Go and wash up quickly.
The man who used to care for me so much, now only despised me.
Lena saw me and also had a disgusted expression on her face.
She had also been quite amiable towards me.
