Chapter 2
Now, Antoine has become a prominent figure in Dragoncity.
He told me that he had masterminded my father’s death.
Dawson’s car accident was also caused by someone tampering with his car.
I was like a fool, loved him for five years, and what I got in return was a broken home and ruined
lives.
I cried my heart out, “Even if my dad apologizes to you, what did Dawson do wrong?”
“Dawson was only sixteen years old, and he knew nothing except studying!”
“Kiley was only nineteen at that time!” His eyes were bloodshot. “Your father’s death is not worth pitying, and you and your younger brother shouldn’t expect an easy life either!”
For the next few months, I lived a life worse than death.
On the seventh day after the child’s passing, he got drunk in the middle of the night and uncovered the blanket that was covering me.
I pushed him, “You go out–”
He completely ignored me and casually stuffed a towel into my mouth, then tied up my wrists and
ankles.

A few more days passed, and he began bringing women home.
The last one is Tessa.
Tessa was wearing my pajamas as she got off Antoine’s bed and said, “Noemi, whatever you used to
have in the past, will all be mine.”
I stared at her intently and said, “You two are disgusting.”
She got so angry that she raised her hand and slapped me, saying, “Who do you think you are, acting like a rich young lady? How dare you insult me!”
She exerted all her strength, and the nail file scraped across my cheek, leaving a long bloody mark.
And Antoine just bit his cigarette, lazily leaning against the wall, silently watching.
My cheeks hurt badly, Tessa ran over and nestled in Antoine’s arms, complaining, “Antoine, Noemi
broke all my nails.”
Antoine absentmindedly held her hand, glanced at it, and then smirked, “Then I’ll teach her a
lesson for you.‘”
So, he ordered someone to break my ten fingers.
Just because she pouted, I could no longer play the piano.
Every day in the dungeon felt like a year.
Two weeks passed, and Antoine finally let me go.
He threw a skirt at me and said, “Put it on.”
I stared at him warily, and he coldly smirked, “Do you want me to help you change?”
My fingers had not yet healed, and even zipping up felt difficult.
He impatiently stubbed out the cigarette and roughly zipped up my zipper.
Then he smiled and patted my cheek, threatening me, “Don’t embarrass me later.”
But I never expected that he would ask me to serve a business partner in any way.
I huddled in the corner and refused to get out of the car. He slapped me hard, leaving me dazed. “If Kiley can do it, why can’t you?”
“Noemi, what are you pretending to be so high and mighty for? You don’t even know how many men you’ve been with!”
