Chapter 7
After a while, he nodded and said, “Okay.”
Emilie smiled happily, wiped her tears, and ran to the table to grab an invitation card for Colt.
“The address and time are here, Uncle, don’t be late,” Emilie reminded repeatedly.
Colt put away the invitation card and turned to leave.
“Mom, Uncle agreed,” Emilie ran over, jumping up and down.
“I heard it.”
Emilie loved Colt, and whenever he said a word to her, she would be happy for half a day.
Before going to bed, Emilie took the discarded teddy bear back to her room and placed it together
with the toy car.
Cindy was deeply worried, would Colt really go?
She would rather Colt reject directly.
It was better than extinguishing Emilie’s hope time and time again.
Colt went to find Hazel with an invitation card, and the invitation card was seen by Allan.
“Wahhh.” Allan cried out with a loud wail.
“What’s wrong?” Colt and Hazel asked simultaneously.
Allan held the invitation card, sobbing, “Emilie invited all the classmates, but she didn’t invite
me.”
“Don’t cry, Emilie didn’t invite you because you must have bullied her. Apologize to her and she
will invite you next time,” Hazel said, holding her son and glancing at Colt.
“No, I don’t want to. I want to play with my classmates. I also want to have a birthday party on th day, I want, I want.” Allan lay in Hazel’s arms, on the verge of crying.
“You were not born on that day.”
“Don’t celebrate my birthday then, Mom, please, I want to play with my classmates.”
“Allan, be obedient and stop crying.”
Hazel couldn’t be comforted and started crying along.
Don’t cry, I’ll take care of it for you,” Colt lifted him up and said, “We’ll do it on that day and invite all our classmates.”

ད
Colt, is it true?” Allan wiped away his tears and looked at him excitedly.
Colt nodded, Allan burst into tears of laughter, and embraced him while shouting “Long live!”
Cindy and Emilie were unaware of Colt’s decision as they prepared things for the birthday party together.
The day before her birthday, Cindy completed the withdrawal procedures for Emilie from the
kindergarten.
After returning home, Emilie kept looking at the time.
I hope time passes quickly. The closer it gets to her birthday, the more anxious Cindy becomes, worrying that Colt will stand her up again.
That morning, she sent a message to Colt.
“The birthday party started at five o’clock, don’t be late.”
Colt returned quickly this time, “Hmm.”
Cindy glanced at Emilie, who was playing with a tablet on the side, and let out a sigh of relief.
If Colt really came, would she still leave?
After having lunch, Cindy took Emilie to the hotel and decorated the room together.
“Mom, will Uncle really come?” Emilie also started to worry, occasionally looking out of the
window.
Cindy took out the morning’s text message and showed it to her, “He should come.”
Emilie laughed and continued playing with the balloon.
The room was decorated, and Cindy received a phone call from a parent. The child had something urgent and couldn’t come.
She exchanged a few greetings with the other person and hung up the phone.
What she didn’t expect was that more classmates called her.
“Mom, are they not coming anymore?” Emilie heard the phone and her face looked a bit upset. “It’s okay, as long as Uncle comes. I just wanted to celebrate my birthday with Mom and Uncle.”
Cindy felt sorry for her sensible child and opened her mouth, not knowing how to comfort her.
She sent another message to Colt, but this time he didn’t reply.
The time for the birthday party has passed, and still not a single classmate came.
Cindy glanced at her phone and saw that Hazel had updated her Instagram.”

She held a celebration party for Allan’s enrollment and invited all the classmates.
The photo was a group picture of the children and their parents, with Colt standing in the middle.
“Thank you, Colt, for organizing a party for my son. He was very happy.”
Cindy’s hand trembled, and her phone fell to the ground.
He knew today was Emilie’s birthday…
Emilie came over and picked up her phone, staring blankly at the photos.
This time, she didn’t cry.
“Mom, let’s have dinner.” Emilie placed her phone on the table and moved the cake closer to herself. “Mom, please help me light the candles.”
Cindy was in so much pain that she almost suffocated.
She lit the candle and turned off the light.
“I hope uncle is always happy, and I am always with my mom.”
Listening to Emilie’s wish, Cindy couldn’t hold back anymore, and tears welled up in her eyes.
The candle went out, and she quickly wiped away her tears and smiled at Emilie.
“Please eat quickly.”
“Mom, in the future, I only want to celebrate my birthday with you. After we finish eating, let’s
leave.”
Emilie took a bite of the cake and couldn’t help but burst into tears.
Cindy held her in her arms and said, “Emilie, don’t cry anymore. Mommy will take good care of you
from now on.”
Colt ran out of chances.
She and Emilie were no longer attached.
That evening, Cindy and Emilie packed their luggage and left the villa.
They bought the earliest flight to Aelbarrow.
Before boarding, Cindy sent Colt a message.
“Colt, I wish you a happy rest of your life.”
She turned off her phone and boarded the plane with Emilie.

From then on, they had no relationship.
