Chapter 2
Julianna glanced at the suitcases in our hands and looked at Felix with a look of grievance.
“Felix, why are you saying this? It was my fault that I delayed your wedding in the first place.”
After finishing speaking, he turned to me and explained, “Meredith, why did you bring out the suitcase again? I cut my hand today and it was bleeding a lot. I was so scared that I had to tell them. Who knew they would make such a big deal out of it and take me to the hospital. You know I don’t have many friends here…”
I stared at the tiny band–aid on her finger and suddenly felt pathetic and ridiculous.
Ridiculous and pitiful. “If you don’t mind, I can tell you things in the future, can you be my sister? I always felt that you were very kind!”
As the words fell, a coquettish smile appeared on her face, with a hint of indescribable pride in her
eyes.
In an instant, the image of my mother gasping for breath appeared before my eyes.
I forcefully embedded my fingernails into the palm of my hand, the pain forcing me to wake up.
“I had a younger sister, please don’t call her names.”
Felix’s face darkened completely, anger rolling in his eyes. “What’s your attitude? Apologize to
Julianna immediately! She’s injured and still insists on completing that nonsense herbal remedy. Do you have any respect for her dedication?”
I glanced at the thermos in his hand and a cold smile curled up at the corner of my lips.
“I can justify myself to anyone, only not to myself. Let’s get divorced, I am tired.”
His angry expression froze on his face, unable to believe that these words of divorce would come
out of my mouth.
The usually introverted Megan also bravely spoke up to Leonel this time, “We are getting divorced
too.”
We couldn’t stay in this suffocating house for even a minute.
Leonel’s action of changing the woman’s shoes came to a halt, and he suddenly stood up, his face
filled with disbelief.
The tone instantly rose several degrees, and he angrily exclaimed, “What did you say?!” I ignored
him and, after saying divorce, I prepared to leave with Megan.
As Megan was passing by Leonel, dragging her suitcase, he suddenly grabbed her wrist.
Suddenly, he forcefully pulled her in front of himself.

His eyes turned crimson with anger.
“Divorce? Just because I didn’t attend that fake wedding and acted with you when I took Julianna to the hospital, you’re talking about divorce? Are you fucking crazy?”
“What’s wrong with me saving someone? What did I do wrong? Besides, Julianna got hurt because of your mother! And now you’re threatening me with divorce?”
“Go ahead, divorce! I let you go! I let you go!”
The suitcase was brought down to the ground, and Leonel lifted his foot and stepped on it repeatedly.
His neck veins bulged with anger.
hurriedly pulled Megan back behind me to protect her.
She was originally timid, and at this moment her small body shrank, almost crying on the spot.
At this moment, I finally realized how foolish my decision was to agree to let Megan marry Leonel.
Leonel kicked several times in a row, and the suitcase finally burst open under the heavy load.
Mom’s belongings were scattered all over the floor.
He didn’t have time to lift his feet, and his leather shoes stepped directly on the clothes, leaving a few footprints on the faded fabric instantly.
I instantly roared and took a step forward to push him away.
“Don’t touch! Get out of here!” Felix’s face was icy cold, his voice suppressed with anger and filled with a warning.
“Meredith, my patience with you is limited. Don’t repeatedly challenge my boundaries!”
I rushed up to protect my mother’s belongings.
Felix and Leonel exchanged a glance, and Leonel immediately understood. He pulled me and Megan
away.
Felix handed the thermos in his hand to Julianna.
