Chapter 4
At that moment, emotions suddenly got out of control.
I snatched the thermos directly from her hand and forcefully smashed it on her head.
The next second, sticky soup dripped down from her head, her hair became a mess, and the
nauseating mixture of meat fragrance and shampoo overwhelmed her.
My eyes were bloodshot, and I roared angrily, “Get out! Stop pretending to be kind in front of me!”
Felix stared at me with a warning look.
At the same time I started, he rushed towards me.
A leather shoe kicked me hard in the stomach.
He hurriedly embraced Julianna and used his expensive shirt to wipe the soup off her head.
I slammed heavily against the wall with my lower back, and weakly slid down to the ground along the wall.
When almost half of the dirt had been cleaned, Julianna’s face was already soaked with tears.
Felix tore off his dirty shirt and threw it aside.
He walked up to me, bent down and grabbed my face, squeezing so hard that it almost crushed the bones in my chin.
Just as he was about to raise his hand to slap me, Julianna spoke with a sob in her voice, “Felix, don’t be angry. It’s all my fault. I saw Auntie’s plane ticket was fake and thought she would arrive later. If I had known she would be like this, I would have made the soup earlier. It’s all my fault for ruining your wedding, and it’s normal for Meredith to be angry too…”
Leonel hurriedly handed her a piece of paper and thoughtfully brought a towel to dry her hair.
Upon hearing the words, I became so angry that my eyes turned bloodshot and my temples throbbed.
My mom, in order to save money for me and Megan, returned her plane ticket and changed it to a train ticket.
It turned into a deceitful lie in her mouth.
“Shut up! You had no right to talk about my mom!”
As the words fell, Felix slapped me across the face.
My lips were oozing blood, and a fishy–sweet taste surged up in my throat. However, he angrily shouted, “It’s you who should shut up! If you say one more word, I’ll tear your mouth apart!”

“Julianna arranged this fake wedding for you, and you dare to shout at her?
What are you? If your mother knew that you repeatedly used her illness as an excuse for matchmaking, would she be so angry that she choked on the spot?
A trace of crack appeared on my face as I displayed a resentful expression.
My heart was filled with nothing but sarcasm. I remembered that cheap wedding scene, and a cold smile appeared at the corner of my lips.
No wonder everything was so hasty.
Originally, from the very beginning, Julianna had never thought about having them go to the wedding venue.
Everything today was already calculated by her.
When Felix saw me remain silent, he thought I was repenting.
The voice was full of contempt. “It’s thanks to Julianna that she even arranged for a wedding planning company to make up for it, and she also used her connections to get your mother an appointment with a specialist at the hospital. But looking at you now, it’s not necessary anymore!”
“Apologize to Julianna immediately now, and then get out of my house with Megan!”
I reached out and pulled his arm while saying coldly, “Re–do? Don’t you find it ridiculous? Even if
you re–do it ten thousand times, she can still ruin it ten thousand and one times! We don’t need it
anymore, let her directly handle it for you three! My sister and I don’t want any part of it!”
“Apologize? Only if she kneels in front of my mother and bows to apologize!”
The anger in his eyes instantly ignited, and he gritted his teeth and spoke word by word, “Meredith, did I give you face? Can’t you understand human language?”
“This fake wedding was begged by you on your knees for two days and nights! What, you don’t want it now? Or are you afraid of being exposed that your mother’s illness was fake?”
“Three years ago, he was critically ill and said he wanted to marry me. Three years later, he wa critically ill again and said he wanted to have a wedding ceremony. Your mother’s will is quite
strong…”
