Chapter 9
Colt finished his work and got up to leave.
He bumped into Hazel and Allan at the door, with Allan struggling to hold a cup of coffee, walking
towards him.
“Colt, where were you going?”
“Colt, I came to apologize to you,” Allan raised the coffee in his hand, “Don’t be angry, Colt.”
Hazel pressed against Colt, her chest accidentally rubbing against his arm. “Colt, the child knows they did something wrong, give them a chance.”
Hazel made obvious gestures, deliberately unbuttoning the buttons on her shirt. Her lips were painted with a vulgar shade of red, and her gaze flickered with seduction.
“Colt, don’t bother with him, he’s just a child,” Hazel’s warm breath sprayed on his neck, “It’s just a small matter, don’t get angry, okay?”
Colt couldn’t help but frown, as the woman in front of him, who was coquettish and flirtatious, was completely different from the cold and proud Hazel he remembered.
Not even as good as Cindy.
Cindy always had a cold and indifferent demeanor, never once showing such an expression.
When it comes to educating children, Allan is clearly not as responsible as Emilie.
What went wrong exactly?
Why did they look so awkward today, the mother and son?
“Small matter? Do you know how much loss he caused to the company?” Colt’s attitude was very
poor.
“Colt, don’t be angry. Allan personally brewed coffee for you, and he really knows he was wrong
Hazel said anxiously, giving Allan a gentle push forward.
Hazel and Allan both looked at him, their eyes filled with longing, and his heart suddenly skipped a
beat.
He was very familiar with this look, Cindy and Emilie had always looked at him like this.
“Never mind! I’ll pay attention in the future.” Colt, feeling frustrated and agitated, softened his
attitude and didn’t want to say much to them. “Bring fewer children to the company from now on.”
Thank you, Colt, quickly.”
Allan lifted his coffee and said, “Colt, I will definitely behave well in the future! I will never make

you angry again.”
Um.”
Colt didn’t take the coffee and walked past them towards the elevator.
“Colt, where are you going?” Hazel sensed his unease and caught up with him. “Let’s have dinner together tonight, I’ll cook your favorite dishes.”
Colt coldly refused and glanced at her attire, “I have plans tonight, you came to work, mind your
influence.”
Hazel stood still, and she could see the dissatisfaction in Colt’s eyes.
Why did Colt suddenly change his attitude towards her and Allan?
No!
She had finally returned to Colt’s side and she absolutely couldn’t lose him again.
Colt drove back to the villa and saw a family of three holding hands along the way.
Dad held a cotton candy in his hand, and every few steps he would bend down to give the child a bite. The child’s smile was as bright as flowers, and tenderness overflowed in Mom’s eyes.
This scene was very heartwarming, but it made his eyes sting.
I suddenly thought of Emilie and Cindy for no reason.
He never accompanied them for a stroll.
Colt parked the car to the side and also bought a marshmallow and a string of candied hawthorns.
This was his first time buying food for Emilie. Emilie must have been very happy.
I didn’t attend Emilie’s birthday party yesterday. He decided to take them out for a meal today to
make up for Emilie’s missed birthday celebration.
He parked the car and carried the food home.
The villa was empty, and no one greeted him anymore.
“Cindy.”
“Emilie.”
In response to him was a dead silence, which made him feel anxious. He put down the cotton candy and candied hawthorn and went upstairs to check.
There was no one upstairs.

He took out his phone to contact Cindy, but she was still unreachable.
“It shouldn’t have finished school yet.” Colt glanced at the time, lightly tapped his forehead. He was too anxious, Emilie must still be at school.
He took the food and went out again, driving and waiting at the entrance of the kindergarten.
The children came out one by one, and he still didn’t see Emilie.
Colt got out of the car and walked towards the kindergarten, and the duty teacher recognized him at first sight.
“Allan’s father, Allan did not go to school today.”
